Objective:To understand the distribution,risk factors of condyloma and its burdens of economy and psychology on patients in order to provide the evidence for prevention and health economics evaluation of condyloma acuminate.Methods:162 objects who were diagnosed condyloma acuminate from October 2007 until December 2008 in He Ping hospital affiliated to Changzhi Medical College were investigated on its general situation,personal behavior,related costs in the course of diagnosis and treatment; collected the information on supplies,manpower in hospital on the diagnosis and treatment of patients;measured the psychological burden on CA patients and compared the psychological between female patients and normal group with the EQ-5D questionnaire;compared the psychological burden on patients among normal group(50cases),abnormal group(50cases),CA group(70cases) and precancerous lesion group(26cases) with HPV-related questionnaire.Results:1,The ratio of male to female was 1.33:1,Cases mainly were in the middle and high school education,married,20-40 years of age,workers;68.5%patients monthly income lower than 1000yuan;the location of CA were vulva in women and coronary sulcus in men.2,The rate of promiscuity in all cases was 28.4%in past year,the average numbers of sexual partners were 1.69,In the course of the sex trade,not to use or occasional condom use accounted for 52.5 percent of all cases;the rate of first sex life before 20years old was more than 40%in all cases.3,The recurrence rate of cases was 47.9%,the disease lasted for 81.31 days on average, the frequency of recurrence were an average of 2.44 times.4,The economic burden of disease of patients was an average of 696.5 Yuan;the direct medical costs was 170.87 yuan.5,The score of patients in Condyloma with self-evaluation was 70 points on average,The main problem of patients were pain/discomfort and anxiety/depression,59 cases(36.4%) in pain/ discomfort,104 cases(64.2%) in anxiety or depression;there were significantly different between female patients and normal group on pain/discomfort and anxiety/depression;The total average score Of HPV-related questionnaire showed that the heaviest psychological burden in precancerous lesions group,followed by condyloma group,the final for the normal and abnormal cytology group;Patients with condyloma acuminatum/precancerous lesion group scored significantly lower than the normal group/cytology abnormal group and were statistically different in seven aspects of HPV-related questionnaire(p<0.05).Normal and abnormal groups had statistics difference on the acceptance of partner/social relations,health assurance/impact of life(p<0.05),no difference in other areas(p>0.05).There were no difference on worries/anxiety,emotional aspects between condyloma acuminate Group and precancerous lesions group of the psychological burden to bear(p>0.05),there were different between groups in other aspects(p<0.05).Psychological burden of precancerous lesions group on Healthy Living to grasp/the impact of livelihood,sexual life and were significantly higher than that of condyloma group,lower than the impact of Doctor,condyloma group in self-image, the acceptance of a partner and social relations.Conclusion 1,The patients with condyloma were Mainly found at 20-40-year-old, married,middle and high school educated,workers.2,Condyloma may be associated with the occurrence of chaos,multiple sexual partners,low condom use,early age of first sexual life,lack of knowledge on CA.3,The recurrence of CA was higher,the psychological and economic burden of patients with condyloma were enormous,effective measures must be taken to reduce the occurrence and recurrence of condyloma in order to alleviate the economic and psychological burden on patients and their families.
