Approach On TCM Law Of Syndrome About Viral Encephalitis And Efficacy Evaluation Of Clearing Heat And Removing Dampness,Eliminating Phlegm And Inducing Resuscitation

1.Objective1.1 Viral encephalitis(VE) in the central nervous system infections play an important role,as a result of a wide range of pathogenic viruses,at present,The majority of viral encephalitis lack of effective antiviral therapy, Clinical treatment with Chinese medicine achieved good results.However,there are currently lack of a precise Standard for traditional Chinese medicine clinics,most scholars in accordance with their own experience to Syndrome Differentiation,therefore,in clinical,TCM Syndrome Patterns of Viral encephalitis is complex and messy,There is not a uniform criterion.1.2 The objective of this study:(1) Based on discussing the etiology and pathogenesis of VE in TCM,Through the retrospective observation of cases of viral encephalitis,the study aims to reveal the VE's symptomatology characters in TCM and optimize the scheme of syndrome differentiation in TCM.(2) Retrospective observation on the Clinical Effect of clearing Heat and removing Dampness and eliminating phlegm and inducing resuscitation Treatment on VE.2.Methods2.1 Syndrome research:In this study,120 cases of viral encephalitis cases who were in accordance with the inclusion criteria were reviewed and observed, TCM syndrome differentiation based on national planning of higher institutions of teaching materials of Chinese medicine,"Science of seasonal febrile diseases","Chinese internal medicine" and "Chinese diagnostics",and the clinical manifestation of Viral encephalitis were summarized,to conclude the common cause of viral encephalitis by judgement method with Primary-Secondary symptoms.2.2 Clinical observation on the therapeutic effect:to selecte the cases in the category of dampness(Phlegm) and heat syndromes of TCM syndrome differentiation,and treatment by clearing Heat and removing Dampness,eliminating phlegm and inducing resuscitation,There are 82 cases meetting this kind of character in all.Through the changes of the main signs and symptoms and related auxiliary examination,to assess the clinical therapeutic effect of treatment.3.Results3.1 Syndrome research:Through clinical retrospective study about 120 cases of VE' TCM phenology characteristics,and comprehensive analysis on higher value's indices for Syndrome Differentiation,The results showed that there is a higher incidence of Phlegm Dampness Syndrome,Heat Fire Syndrome,Wind Syndrome in basic syndromes;a lower incidence are Yin-deficiency,Qi deficiency,and blood stasis,excessive syndrome for the type found in, accounting for 92.6%,Phlegm Dampness,Heat,Wind Occupy in the excessive syndrome 92.0%,deficiency-syndrome only account for 7.4%,Yin and Qi deficiency syndrome wwre the main syndrome in the deficiency-syndrome.There was no simple Syndrome-type in all cases,but showing two and three syndromes were respectively,damp-heat producing phlegm and hoodwinking pericardium syndrome,phlegm-heat internal resistance and liver-wind agitation syndrome, damp-heat with blood stasis syndrome whice are maked up of three syndromes; wetness-heat stagnated in the middle warmer Syndrome,syndrome of orifices confused by phlegm-dampness,syndrome of both the defense and qi phases, deficiency of both Qi and Yin,Phlegm-stasis Blocking Collateral syndrome,Yin-blood consumpping by heat,whice are maked up of three syndromes.3.2 Observation of Curative Effect:The clinical study showed that clearing Heat and removing Dampness,eliminating phlegm and inducing resuscitation can improve the prognosis of viral encephalitis,On clinical observation,the effective rate concerning symptoms and signs after treatment were above 80.0%,Nervous system related symptoms and signs nearly disappeared,Some patients left over parts of the nervous system symptoms and signs,two cases of severe patients were died.CSF and EEG were significantly improved or turned to norm.4.Conclusions4.1 TCM syndrome of viral encephalitis can preliminary classified into 9 type: damp-heat producing phlegm and hoodwinking pericardium syndrome,wetness-heat stagnated in the middle warmer Syndrome,syndrome of orifices confused by phlegm-dampness,phlegm-heat internal resistance and liver-wind agitation syndrome,syndrome of both the defense and qi phases,deficiency of both Qi and Yin,Phlegm-stasis Blocking Collateral syndrome,damp-heat with blood stasis syndrome,Yin-blood consumpping by heat,the former five types were frequent in acute stage of VE,the latter three types were rare and mainly found in the later stage of VE.4.2 Observed 120 cases of viral encephalitis in the category of dampness (Phlegm) and heat areas account for more than half.Treatment by clearing Heat and removing Dampness,eliminating phlegm and inducing resuscitation was Obtained a better clinical efficacy,In particular,Lingnan is located in hot and humid climate of the environment,the Physical Constitution mainly belong to heat and mass constitution and dampness-heat constitution,with an interaction between internal and external factors,easily to trouble damp-heat illness,the curative effect of clearing Heat and removing Dampness,eliminating phlegm and inducing resuscitation is more more than those in other areas.
