Significance Of ANNEXIN â…¡,CD44v6 And MMP-2 Expression In Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Adenocarcinoma Of The Lung

Objective: To detect the expression of ANNEXINâ…¡,CD44v6 and MMP-2 in squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung and investigate their relationships; analyse their relationships between their expresssions and clincoipathological parameters.Methods: Immunohistochemistry EnVision method was adopted to determine the expression of ANNEXINâ…¡,CD44v6 and MMP-2 in 70 cases of squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the human lung and 15 cases normal pulmonary tissues.Results: The positive expression rates of ANNEXINâ…¡,CD44v6,MMP-2 in squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung was 58.57%(41/70),75.71%(53/70),71.11%(50/70) respectively,showing a significantly difference between normal pulmonary tissues.and squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung.(P<0.05). And no correlation was found between ANNEXINâ…¡,MMP-2 expression and the smoking,the differentiated level,histological type ,but closely related to P - TNM stage and lymph node metastasis in lung cancer patients ( P < 0. 05). The expression of CD44v6 was not correlated with the smoking and the differentiated level,but correlated with P - TNM stage,histological type and lymph node metastasis in lung cancer patients ( P < 0. 05). The expressions of ANNEXINâ…¡was positively correlated with expression of CD44v6(r =0.335,P<0.05);the expressions of ANNEXINâ…¡was positively correlated with expression of MMP-2( r=0.238,P<0.05);the expressions of CD44v6was positively correlated with expression of MMP-2( r=0.306,P<0.05).Conclusions: ANNEXINâ…¡,CD44v6 and MMP-2 overexpression is closly related to the histology,TNM stages and lymph node metastasis of lung cancer.They might be used as clinical indicators to predict the progress and metastatic potential for squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung.
