[Objective]To compare the surgical outcomes of laparoscopic exploration of common bile duct and traditional choledochotomy in treatment of cholelithiasis and cholithiasis.[Methods]70patients with cholecys-tolithiasis and secondary common bile duct stones from January 2008 to January 2009 were treated with surgical operation.Divided into two group:30 patients in LCBDE and 40 patients in traditional choledochotomic group group, the size of Operative incision, duration of ventilation after operation,out-of-bed activity after operation, time of surgery, complications, hospital daysafter operation, hospital days, hospital cost,T-tube drainage, the number of preoperative and post-eoperative white blood cell.were compared,[Results]Hospital cost and time of surgery between the two groups had no significant difference.Compared with traditional choledochotomy group,LCBDE group had lesser, the size of Operative incision, duration of ventilation after operation, hospital daysafter operation,out-of-bed activity after operation, hospital days, complication, hospital cost,T-tube Drainage,post-eoperative white blood cell(P<0.05) in traditional choledochotomic group.[Conclusion]Laparoscopic exploration of common bile duct in treating cholelithiasis and cholithiasis is safe and feasible with availed effect of minimal invasivenss. The method is worth spreaded.
