ObjectiveTo explore the diagnosis value of brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV) and carotid atherosclerosis in coronary artery disease.Methods106 subjects achieved the test of baPWV,the color Doppler detection carotid artery and percutaneous selective coronary angiography.All patients were divided into group of non-coronary heart disease and group of coronary heart disease according to the results of coronary angiography.Coronary heart disease group was further divided into three sub-groups: single-vessel lesions group,two rami lesions group and three rami lesions group,baPWV value for cut-off point,the sensitivity and specificity of coronary heart disease's diagnosis was calculated.The percentage of baPWV beyond the predictive value of age and sex to diagnose of coronary heart disease's cut-off point and the sensitivity and specificity was calculated.Carotid atherosclerosis value in the diagnosis of sensitivity and specificity of coronary heart disease was analyzed.Both are combined to analyze the parallel tests for the diagnosis of sensitivity and specificity of coronary heart disease.Then inter-group analysis between different sub-group coronary heart disease was carded out.ResultsThe area under the receiver operator characteristic(ROC) curve is 0.655.The maximum accuracy when the percentage of baPWV is over the age predictive value is 22.5 and its sensitivity for diagnosis of coronary heart disease is 63.2%,specificity is 61.8%.The sensitivity of carotid atherosclerosis in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease is 88.5%and specificity is 68.4%.The sensitivity of parallel tests for the diagnosis of coronary heart disease raised to 0.958 and specificity decreased to 0.432 when both are united.In subgroup analysis of coronary heart disease,baPWV gradually increased and the detection rate of carotid atherosclerosis was significantly higher with the increase of coronary artery disease. ConclusionsThe possibility of the subjects suffering from coronary heart disease can be preliminarily assessed with the combination test of baPWV and carotid atherosclerosis.And it can be used as the non-invasive screening tool before the invasive coronary angiography.
