Studies On The Chemical Constituents And Antioxidant Activity Of The Aerial Parts Of Salvia Miltiorrhiza Bge

Dan shen is the dry root and rootstock of the origanum Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. It is bitter intaste and cold-natured and has been used as a traditional Chinese folk medicine for a long time. Studies of the activities show that Dan shen can eliminat stasis to activate blood circulation and alleviate pain(QuYuZhiTong), promot blood flow (HuoXueTong Jing)and clearing away heart-fire(QingXinChuFan) et al. It can be used for irregular menstruation, algomenorrhea, splenohepatomegalia, sternalgia et al.Since the 1930s,domestic and foreign scholars have studied on active component and pharmacological action massively and have obtained many chemical compositions. The Pharmacology research indicated it can protect the Heart blood vessel of brain system,the alimentary system,the RS,the C.N.S and the immunologic system et al.In this chemical study on the aerial parts of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bg,after repeating silica gel,polyamide and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography,we obtained ten compounds,and identified eight compounds's structures,The eight compounds are:β-sitosterol , Ursolic acid, Ursolic acid-28-O-β-glucoside, Isoquercitroside, Daucosterol, Rosmarinic acid, Rosmarinic acid methyleshe. Ursolic acid-28-O-β-glucoside and Isoquercitroside are first founded in the genus. Ursolic acid, Rosmarinic acid and Rosmarinic acid methyleshe are first founded in the plant.
