Objective: To explore the effectiveness of combination of scalp acupuncture and Sam Yang acupoint treat paralysis after ischemic stroke. Methods: We selected 60 cases that were diagnosed as cerebral ischemic stroke at the acute stage through the examination of CT or MRI,then divided into two groups:the treatment group treated with combination of scalp acupuncture and Sam Yang acupoint; the control group treated with traditional acupuncture. Fugl—Meyer used motor function score, improving the Bathel index score, neurological impairment score and clinical efficacy as an indicator, clinical comparison of the combination of scalp acupuncture and Sam Yang acupoint(the treatment group) and the traditional acupuncture (control) of spastic paralysis after a stroke in patients with motor function, daily living and degree of neurological deficit improve the situation. Results: Clinical observations show that the treatment group control group in the Fugl—Meyer score of motor function and activities of daily living score and neurological impairment score after treatment than before treatment were significantly different(P < 0.01). One Fugl—Meyer motor function score and ability to score in the daily life of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01). Cured and effectual rate in the treatment group was 93.33%, in the control group was 80.00%, two groups were significantly different(P< 0.01).Conclusions: The combination of scalp acupuncture and Sam Yang acupoint can enhance the effectiveness of paralysis after ischemic stroke, its efficiency is better than traditional acupuncture.
