Objective:To evaluate the clinical result of open reduction and internal fixation with Kirschner wires plus bone grafting for intra-articular fractures of calcaneus.Methods:29 cases(31 calcaneus)of intra-articular fractures of Calcaneus from January 2005 to August 2008 were treated by open reduction and internal fixation with Kirschner wires plus bone grafting. All cases were closed fractures.According to Paley classification system:there were 13 of type B1,7 of type B2, 8 of type C1,2 of type C2, 1 of type D.Results:All cases were followed up for 6 to 30 months. On the X-ray films after operation, the mean of B?hler angle were 30°and the mean of Gissane angle were 132°. Evaluated by the Maryland foot score:The excellent and good rate was 87.1%.Conclusions:Open reduction and internal fixation with Kirschner wires plus bone grafting for intra-articular fractures of calcaneus has obvious advantages:small injury, easy to operate, few complications, satisfied curative action,do not have to open again to dispose fixation material.
