| Purpose:This topic draws up to observes ShenWu capsules and discover it's clinical&curative effect and safety to senile dementia,probe it's functional mechanism to cure senile dementia,and pave way for the further research through clinical research.This research will greatly contribute to improve clinical & curative effect and prevent senile dementia happening,as well as relieve patient's pain and sufferings.Method:1.Target People.(1)The age is more than 50 and less than 80 years old.(2) Either men or women.(3)Reached DSM-Ⅳstupid standard,the NINCDS-ADRDAS senile dementia standard,and the spleen two kidney proven weakly by the Chinese medicine dialectical,the people who have phlegm muddy blood jam-up.(4)The intelligence quantity form(MMSE)grade point at＞10 cents and less than of 26 cents,and according to their cultural degree some adjustment will be made.(The illiterate excluded,the primary school degree less than22,degree above high school less than 26). Any one agreed above standard and all can bring into the clinical trial case regardless inpatients or outpatient.2.The excluded people(1)Serious degree dementia,namely the MMSE grade point less than 10 cent,or the GDS grade point＞5 period.(2)Have vascular dementia(the HIS more than 7 cent) or there is other reason caused their dementia.(3) The HAMD more than 11 cent.(4)The physical easily get allergic,or can not tolerated or be allergic to this prescription.(5) Attending the clinical now or have other researches to attends within 4 weeks.3.All outpatients or inpatients of Chinese medicine hospital in Hubei province from July 2007 to April 2008 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the order in which they admitted,Treatment group has 48 cases and control group has 24 cases.Two groups were severity basic balance in respect of age,gender and disease duration and had no significant difference by statistical tests.The two groups were comparable.4.Experiment set:ShenWu capsules,5pcs/each time,three times/day,drink warm boiled water in 0.5-1 hour after finishing breakfast,lunch,dinner.Matched set:The Donepezil Capsules,1pc/each time,one time/day, take it before sleeping.(If ShenWu capsules should be 3times, 5pcs/each time),drink warm boiled water in 0.5-1 hour after 3 meals.Treatment Period:Require 2 periods totally,each period last for 3 months.Conclusion:The research result demonstrated Shenwu capsules works greatly to cure senile dementia(the spleen kidney two falsely,phlegm muddy blood jam-up certificate),and it's curative effect much better than Donepezil Capsules.ShenWu capsules can improve the senile dementia sufferer's study and memory ability obviously.Relieve senile dementia suffering,and bring up their living quality.
