〈Classic Classified Materia Medica for Emergencies〉was wrote by Tang Shenwei,who was a great physician in SiChuan in Bei Song dynasty.In the past ages,〈Classic Classified Materia Medica for Emergencies〉was called as〈Classified Materia Medica〉for short.〈Classified Material Medica〉was wrote on the basis of〈Jia You Ben Cao〉and〈Ben Cao Tu Jing〉,which systematically recorded many Chinese medicine literature from〈Shennong's Herbal〉.It included a lot of data about herbs from biography,history,corpus,Buddhist and Taoist books,what's more,it collected local prescription from folk people.All the above makes this huge herbs book,which summed up from remote antiquity to Bei Song dynasty.〈Classified Material Medica〉has a important position in the history of Chinese herbs and a huge value in literature,because what it contains was all obeyed the original books and ordered by periods till Bei Song dynasty.〈Classified Material Medica〉was soon getting a recognition by the government after it was finished.It was published with the name of〈Jing Shi Zheng Lei Da Guan Ben Cao〉(called〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉for short) in 1108(the second year of Da Guan).In the year of 1116(the sixth year of Zheng He),Cao Xiaozhong collated〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉again,and changed its name as〈Zheng He Xin Xiu Jing Shi Zheng Lei Bei Ji Ben Cao〉,which was called〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉for short.Just as Cao Xiaozhong said in the preface,this book has corrected the errors and what omitted in〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉was added to.The sequence of volume and its content have changed in some parts.〈Classified Material Medica〉was republished on the base of〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉in the later years,forming a system with a root of〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉; 〈Classified Material Medica〉was republished on the base of〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉has formed a system with a root of〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉.In Yuan dynasty,Zhang Cunhui(the host of Ping Shui Hui Ming Xuan) added〈Ben Cao Yan Yi〉(wrote by Kou Zongyu) to〈Classified Material Medica〉which was rewrote by Pang family in Jin.So,〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉was passed in this style from then on.The first chapter of this thesis was an overview of〈Classified Material Medica〉, including a introduction of the writer Tang Shenwei,ages of its finished and published,volumes and classes,formulation and style,the number of herbs,etc.The according to divide edition system of〈Classified Material Medica〉was summed up by comparing〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉with〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉,which in return made a theoretical foundation for the further study.The second chapter of this thesis was an edition study of with a root of〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉.The editions of〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉in different ages were firstly searched and checked,and discussed in two ways.On the one hand,the lost editions were focused on.Information was collected from literature and put in order,it was also judged with logic theories.The literature was from public libraries' bibliographies,personal libraries' bibliographies,bibliographic tools,edition writings,and correlated scholar's articles.On the second hand,the extant edition of〈Classified Material Medica〉was on the point of our research.The editions' and bibliographies' information was mainly investigated,identified and recorded.And then,a judgment would be give by comparing the recording texts.The third chapter of this thesis was an edition study of〈Classified Material Medica〉with a root of〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉.The same study methods were used as studying〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉.The last chapter of this thesis was a summarization and discussion of〈Classified Material Medica〉.The theory of bibliography,edition and literature was used to research the edition of〈Classified Material Medica〉.When the origin and development was clear,some evidence were pointed out to against misunderstanding. 〈Da Quan Ben Cao〉which was wrote by Wang Qiuben was discussed in detail and it clearly further revealed the branch of〈Da Guan Ben Cao〉.Meanwhile,the editions of〈Zheng He Ben Cao〉were expounded and a deeply relation of different editions was clearly revealed.In the end,the study of edition was the basis of doing research in〈Classified Material Medica〉.〈Classified Material Medica〉was a huge literature's storage,which was still worthy to research.
