Objective:To analysis the clinical factors which influence the outcome of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer.Methods:3687 cycles of IVF/ICSI-ET were analyed retrospectively, which were done from January 2007 to December 2008 in our reproductive center.Pregnancy outcomes were observed and analyzed according to female age, duration of infertility, primary infertility or secondary infertility, times of cycles, indicated of infertility, different way of fertilization and serum concentration of basal follicle stimulating hormone(bFSH) levels on the second or third day of menstrual cycle. Results:The pregnancy rate(PR) after IVF/ICSI-ET treatment had positive correlation with age(r=-0.97,p<0.001 ).PR decreased with age increasing.PR of group aged<24 yeas old was 45.88%,group aged 25~29 years old was 44.58%,group aged 30~34 years old was 42.92%,group aged 35~39 years old was 37.48%;group aged≥40 years old was 19.87%0 PR of group aged≥40 years old was significantly lower than the other 4 groups(p<0.01 ).Group aged 35~39 years old was significantly lower than the Group aged 30~34 years old and 25~29 years old (0.01<p<0.05)。PR after IVF/ICSI-ET treatment had positive correlation with duration of infertility(r=-0.79,p<0.001).PR decreased with duration of infertility increasing(PR of group 1~2 years was 45.02%,group 3~4 years was 41.96%,group 5~9 years was 41.32%,group≥10 years was 31.39%). Group≥10 years was significantly lower than the other 3 groups(p<0.01 ) PR of primary infertility group was 40.65%,of secondary infertility group was 41.96 %,there were no statistically differences in clinical pregnancy rates among these two groups(P>0.05).PR of group which the first time receive the treatment was 41.70%,of group which the second time received the treatment was 42.48%,of group which received the treatment≥3 times was 28.57%, which was significantly lower than the other 2 groups(p<0.01).In indicated of infertility,PR of fallopian tube disease was 41.64%,of ovulatory disorders was 45.76%,o f endometriosis was 4 0.53%,o f uterine abnormalities were 41.72%,o f male factor was 42.40%;of adenomyosis was 48.05%,there were no statistically differences in clinical pregnancy rates among these six groups(P>0.05).PR of IVF was 42.67%,of ICSI was 39.73%,there were no statistically differences in clinical pregnancy rates among these two groups(P>0.05 ).The pregnancy rate(PR) after IVF/ICSI-ET treatment had negative correlation with serum concentration of bFSH level on the second or third day of menstrual cycle(r=-0.27,p>0.05).PR of group≤8IU/L was 42.59%,of group 8~12IU/L was 38.20%,of group>12IU/Lwas 36.99%,there were no statistically differences in clinical pregnancy rates among these three groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The pregnancy outcome of IVF/ICSI-ET is affected by a lot of clinical factors, including female age, duration of infertility, times of cycles, and serum concentration of bFSH levels on the second of third day of menstrual cycle.
