The Effect Of Double-J Ureteric Stent Placement In Treatment Of Ureteric Stricture

Objective: To evaluate the application and effect of Double-J ureteric stent in ureteral strictures.Methods: Fifteen cases with ureteral stricture in our hospital were placed doule-J ureteric stent retrogradely, and the follow-up was carried.Results: All double-J ureteric stent were placed successfully in fifteen patients, the follow-up time was 41 months(rang 3 to 56 months).All ureteral obstruction was resoluted.Meanwhile, symptomayic relieved or vanished, hydronephrosis was decreased and(or)renal function was improved.Conclusion: The double-J ureteric stent placement by endoscopy is a minimally invasive and effective treatment in case of ureteric stricture. Especially, it is more suitable for those patients who′s strictuers were difficult to be removed directly by surgery.
