| [Objective]:To study the expression of MK,VEGF and MVD in human gastric carcinoma, explore the relationship between MK,VEGF and MVD expression and clinicopathological features in human gastric carcinoma;and to find out the relationship between prognosis and the expressions of MK,VEGF in gastric carcinoma.[Method]:1. The expressions of MK,VEGF and MVD in 107 cases of human gastric carcinoma tissues and 31 cases of normal gastric tissues were detected by 2-step plus immunohistochemistry.2. The correlations between the expressions of MK and VEGF alone or the co-expression and the clinicopathologic features as well as theirs prognosis were statistically analyzed.[Results]:1. In human gastric carcinoma tissues, the MK expression and the VEGF expression were positive in 74 of 107 cases (69.2%) and 71 of 107 cases (66.4%) respectively(P=0.00). And they were negative in human normal gastric tissues. The average value of MVD in the patients with gastric carcinoma and normal gastric tissues were 32.74±6.46 and 14.55±4.07 respectively(P=0.00).2.The expressions of MK,VEGF and MVD had no correlation with age and sex(P>0.05);The incidence of MK,VEGF and MVD expression were significantly statistic difference between tumor sizes, deeper invasion,lymph node metastasis, and advanced stages ( P <0.01,respectively).3.The MK shew significant positive correlation with the VEGF expression in gastric carcinoma (r=0.681,P<0.01). The MK shew significant positive correlation with the MVD expression in gastric carcinoma (r=0.592,P<0.01). The MVD shew significant positive correlation with the VEGF expression in gastric carcinoma (r=0.545,P<0.01).4.Cox univariate analysis showed that either MK expression or VEGF expression was significantly correlated with 5-year survival rate respectively (P <0.01).5. Multivariate analysis with the Cox regression models showed that co-expression of MK and VEGF may be considered as an independent prognosis factor with gasric carcinoma.[Conclusion]:1.The expression rates of MK,VEGF and MVD were significant higher in gastric carcinoma than normal gastric tissues. The expression of MK,VEGF and MVD were associated with tumor sizes, deeper invasion,lymph node metastasis,and advanced stages (P<0.01,respectively). That shew MK,VEGF and MVD promoted the processes of carcinogenesis,progression,invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma, upregulation of MK,VEGF and MVD promoted the processes of carcinogenesis,progression,invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma,which made the gastric carcinoma cells more malignant and more invasive and easier to metastasis. MK,VEGF and MVD can be the indicators to judge the biological behavior of gastric carcinoma.2.The expression of MK,VEGF and MVD shew significant positive correlation in gastric carcinoma, which indicated that they interpromoted in the processes of carcinogenesis,progression,invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.3.The expression of MK and VEGF was negative associated with the survival rate. The co-expression of MK and VEGF was the independent prognosis factor for gastric cancer. |
