The testicular carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor in urinary system. Testicular carcinoma represents the most common form of cancer in young men, with an incidence peak between the ages of 15–35 years. The in- cidence of testicular carcinoma is outstanding. Recently, some evidences indicate that the incidence of testicular carcinoma is growing. Testicular carcinoma is characterized with the latency and high incidence. But only few can become the patients with clinical symptoms in early stage.We call for a new tumor marker of testicular carcinoma which has more specificity in diagnosing of testicular car- cinoma. Objective To investigate expression and clinic application of CD147 and TGF-β1 in testicular carcinoma.Method To measure the CD147 in 60 cases test- icular carcinoma and 10 of normal testicular tissue by immunohistochemisry test (SP method).expression of TGF-β1 were detected in 60 specimens of testicular carcinoma and 10 of normal tissue by using immunohistochemisry test(SP me- thod). Result 86.7 percent of testicular tumors and 10 percent of normal control testicular tissues are positive respectively, which shows a significant difference(P < 0.05).The positive rates of CD147 in high and low differentiated tumor are 9.1 %(2/22) and 63.2%(24/38) respectively; The tumor tissue of stage Tis-T1 has a high expression rates of 11.1 percent (2/18) ,however the expression of CD147 in the tumor tissue of stage T2~T4 is 59.5 % (25/42). There is a significant correla- tion between the positive rates of the CD147 and the metastasis of the lymph node, the positive rates of CD147 in the group with and without the metastasis of the lymph node are 61.1%(22/36)and 16.7 %(4/24). The positive expression rates in the testicular tumors and normal control testicular tissues are 85 percent(51/60)and 10 percent respectively, which shows a signi- ficant difference(P < 0.05).The positive expression rates of TGF-β1 in highand low differentiated tumor are 11.1%(2/18) and 64.3% (27/42) ( P <0.05) , respectively; the tumor tissue of stage Tis~T1 has a high expression rates of 10.5 percent(2/19),but the tumor tissue of stage T2~T4 has a much higher expression rates of 63.4 percent (26/41) in TGF-β1,which presents a significant differences (χ2 = 14.59,P< 0.05);There is a significant correlation between the positive rates of the TGF-β1 and the metastasis of the lymph node, the positive rates of TGF-β1 in the group with and without the metastasis of the lymph node are 68.8 %(22/32)and 14.3%(4/ 28).The expression of the TGF-β1 is correlated with the grade, stage of the tumor tissue and the metastasis of the lymph node.The expression of CD147 was pos- itively correlate with that of TGF-β1 (r=0,359 p<0.05 ) . Conclusion The ex- pression of the CD147 and TGF-β1 is correlated with the grade, stage of the tumor tissue and the metastasis of the lymph node. The abnormal expression of CD147 and TGF-β1 could play a very important role in promoting the pro- liferat ion ,invasion and metastasis of the testicular carcinoma, and the CD147 and TGF-β1 could be a marker to reflect the invasion ability of testicular tumor. The relationship between CD147 and TGF-β1 is positively correlation.
