Breast cancer is a common and multiple malignant tumor in women. Breast cancer is recognized by the World Health Organization for a malignant tumor that would reduce mortality by early diagnosis .Nowadays, traditional therapy mode of breast cancer mainly with radical operation has been developed into conservative; at the same time, assisted therapy tends to standardization and personalization; and integrated therapy has replaced traditional therapy, which is mainly with operation; in addition, breast-conserving surgery has been considered as the new development trend. Accordingly, the conclusion of lesions range and properties which is obtained through preoperative imaging examination is essential for the treatment protocols.Breast disease currently use infra-red examination, photographic mammography, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging in clinical imaging examination. As the develompment of the enhanced magnetic resonance contrast, and the improvements of the high-resolution surface coil technology and new imaging technology, the magnetic resonance imaging has become the most promising way to detect breast cancer in the light of its advantages of examination without radiation and multi-planar imaging. My hospital introducted a superconducting 3.0T MRI scanner (Trio TIM, Siemens Medical Solutions) with a high field strength magnetic resonance imaging systems and circular polarized phased-array breast coils. The high-field strength show a better effect to the breast lesionMagnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging (diffusion weighted imaging, DWI), at present, is the only method that is able to observe vivo water molecules micro motion imaging, and detect the early changes of morphology and pathology. And biological tissue apparent diffusion coefficient ADC values as markers which reflect the status of diffusion motion of tissues, accordingly, DWI through ADC values to reflect the diffusion characteristics of water and thus indirectly reflect the biological characteristics of tissues. Different types of breast lesions have different extracellular space, and its moisture content is also different at the ADC value on DWI .Objective: This can be to distinguish between the benign and malignant breast lesions. This study was carried out on patients with breast cancer MRI of diffusion-weighted imaging, measurement of ADC value of breast tumor tissues which have occurred the morphological changes, discussion of value of Magnetic resonance DWI apparent diffusion coefficient in the differential diagnosis of breast lesions. MRI, a non-invasive diagnostic method, is with great potential, and is essential for breast cancer's early diagnosis, thereby is also a good guide of clinical treatment protocols. Methods: Taking 20 patients with breast lesions as research subjects, through the superconducting 3.0T MRI scanner (Trio TIM, Siemens Medical Solutions) and circular polarized phased-array breast coils, doing MRI scan, DWI, enhanced scan to the very 20 patients'bilateral breast separately. Finally, in pathologically confirmed breast lesions'Magnetic resonance DWI examining information, there are 13 cases of malignant lesions and 7 cases of benign lesions. Taking another 10 health people breast as the control group. Dealing with the proliferation images to obtained the ADC map, and then consulting location of dynamic enhanced lesions in this map, then tracing circular regions of interest, and measuring lesion apparent diffusion coefficient for three times, last taking the average as the ADC value of lesions. Comparing of benign and malignant lesions, normal gland different ADC, which has the statistical significance. Finally, does the relationship between breast lesions and ADC value have statistical significance whether or not by using a single-gene analysis of variance statistics of statistical software. Results: Magnetic resonance DWI of breast lesions displays well. When b=800~0s/mm2,Normal glands', benign and malignant tumors'ADC values have significant difference (P <0.05). The average ADC value of benign lesions is(1.2943±0.0519)×10-3mm2/s, the 95% confidence interval(1.167~ 1.421)×10-3mm2/s; the average ADC value of malignant lesions is(0.5808±0.1260)×10-3mm2/s, 95% confidence interval(0.3060~0.8556)×10-3mm2/s; normal gland ADC values are(2.055±0.2058)×10-3mm2/s, 95% confidence interval(1.589~2.521)×10-3mm2/s.Conclusion: After statistical analyzing the measurement of benign and malignant breast and mammary glands of normal ADC values, it is indicated that ADC values have significant statistical meaning for the identification of benign and malignant breast. The ADC value of malignant tumors is significantly lower than benign significantly; the benign tumors is lower than those in nomal glands. So MRI is a kind of breast tumor imaging technique, which is with sensitivity, specificity and highest accuracy, and combined with the morphological characteristics of tumor, accurately grasping and applying the advanced imaging technology, analyzing ADC maps of magnetic resonance. Not only quantitative but also qualitative judgment, measuring ADC values can provide references for breast tumor's early diagnosis and correct therapy.
