| Objective To investigate visfatin level in type 2 diabetic mellitus and early diabetic nephropathy, analyze the relationship of visfatin with type 2 diabetes mellitus and early diabetic nephropathy.Methods All the 105 subjects were divided into 3 groups(30 for control, 40 for Non-DN group and 35 for DN group, respectively). Type 2 diabetic mellitus were recruited from inpatients who were treated at endocrinology department of the fifth affilicated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Control subjects were selected from healthy crowd through the normal physical examination in the fifth affilicated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, blood fat, blood glucose, HbA1c, visfatin of all research subjects were measured. The differences of above index among the three groups were compared. Meanwhile UAER of all type 2 diabetic mellitus subjects were measured, the relation between visfatin and all the above index were analyzed.Results 1. The visfatin of control group, non-DN group, DN group is respectively (1.00±0.33)ng/ml,(1.92±0.57)ng/ml,(1.96±0.72)ng/ml. The level of visfatin in type 2 diabetic mellitus were higher than control (P<0.05).The level of visfatin in non-DN group and DN group had no significant difference (P>0.05). 2. Visfatin had positive correlation with WC and TG. Meanwhile visfatin had inverse correlation with HDL-C. 3. Multiple regression analysis showed that TG was related factor which influenced on visfatin.Conclusion Visfatin level in T2DM was higher than in control group. Indicate that visfatin may have relationship with type 2 diabetic mellitus. Visfatin had positive correlation with WC and TG. Meanwhile visfatin had inverse correlation with HDL-C. Suggest that visfatin may have relation with central obesity and lipid metabolism. The level of visfatin in non-DN group and DN group had no significant difference. It is presumed that visfatin may not have relation with early diabetic nephropathy. |
