Studies On Anti-influenza Virus Effect Of Curcumin

Influenza is an acute respiratory disease caused by Influenza virus,which is severely harmful to people's health.The influenza vaccine for the last influenza will lose its role of prevention during the next influenza outbreak.At present there is no reliable way to effectively predict the event of an influenza pandemic and the cyclical nature.Influenza is a viral disease of the oldest still seriously endanger human life and health,anti-virus treatment of drug research in the prevention and treatment of influenza is of great significance.Sheng Jiang Powder(SJP) is the famous formula to treat virulent contagious disease. Curcuma longa is the main components of SJP,and curcumin act as the active component. The pharmacologic effects of Curcumin are anti-inflammatory,regulating immune response and anti-bacteria and so on.[Objectives]To observe Curcumin on its antivirus action consulting the immunity of hectic rats with influenza virus.[Methods]:(1) Protective effect of curcumin on the mice with influenza virus FM1 infected.(2)Effect of curcumin on the lung index of mice with influenza virus FM1 infected.(3)Effect of curcumin on the level of TNF-α,IL-6,INF-γof the mice with influenza virus FM1 infected.[Results]:(1)Treatment with curcumin doses of 100,50,25mg.kg^-1.d^-1 could decrease the lung indexes of mice caused by strain FM₁ of influenza virus(P＜0.01).The inhibitive percentages of mice lung index were 22.42%,37.75%and 23.6%,respectively.(2) Curcumin could prolong the mean survival time of infected mice by Influenza and reduce mortality of mice specially in curcumin dose of 100 mg.Kg^-1.d^-1.Curcumin in various degrees has marked the death protection on infected mice.(3) Curcumin could remedy the suppressed immunity of infected mice by Influenza,and regulate the secretion of inflammation faction.Curcumin could decrease the level of TNF-α,IL-6,and IFN-γin serum,so curcumin has Anti-inflammation action.[Conclusions]:1.curcumin have a better effect on Inhibiting Influenza Virus A in Vivo.2.the therapeutic mechanism of curcumin for the influenza viral pneumonia.Enhancing immune function and regulating the productions of TNF-α,IL-6,and IFN-γwere possible immunology mechanisms of Curcumin's therapeutically effect.3.Regulative effects on cytokines may be one of the factors that Curcumin decreases the pathogenesis of influenza-induced cute lung injury.Curcumin have a potent value of development.
