| Objective according to carry out comprehensive monitoring of street-based sex workers(FSWs) in 13 county,to understand the status of knowledge,attitude, behavior,the infection of STD/AIDS and demand for health services,explore the impact factors of unsafe sexual behavior and infection of HIV,in order to provide information for prevention and control for AIDS.Methods With the affecting factors of behavior,cooperated with the 13 program counties CDC staff who is responsible for monitoring of street-based FSWs and using peer education and outreach work,to find the target groups.And took "snowball method" which is one of non-probability sampling methods as the sampling methods, then carried out anonymous survey on 299 street-based FSWs,including demographic characteristics,knowledge awareness and sex service.At the same time,took personal-depth interviews to describe practitioners affecting factors.Results 1,Among 299 street-based FSWs,88.6%of them were under 40 years old, and 56.2%of them got married,and 80.9%of them received junior middle school education or primary education.2,As a whole,the basic knowledge rate of AIDS awareness was 73.2%,but there were some misunderstandings in the community,the complete correct rate of awareness of HIV/AIDS preventive knowledge was only 55.2%.3,The target groups did not awareness high risk of infected HIV,only 17.1% think that they can be infected with HIV.4,The rate of condom use per sex in the latest sexual intercourse with client and steady sex partners were 91.3%and 41.2% respectively,and The rate of condom use per sex in the last month sexual intercourse with client and steady sex partners were74.6%and 33.3%respectively,and there were correlation among age,residence,HIV testing in recent year and accessed to condoms.5,detection 8 cases anti-HIV-positive among 299 street-based FSWs, Anti-HIV antibody-positive rate was 2.68%in the study.Suggestion we should strengthen propaganda and education for street-based FSWs about HIV prevention,and increase them about risk of HIV awareness,and voluntary counseling and testing awareness Actively promote the use of condoms and develop peer education should be strengthened for street-based FSWs. |
