The radio protection of radiant source is one of the focuses in the industrial CT research field, while the mechanical construction of the radiation shielding and the safety motion control is the major concern. This paper is based on CD-200CGA CT system with 60Co radiant source to study safety protection as well as its application.The present study mainly discuss and calculat the CD-200CGA CT system with 60Co ray source radiation shielding, shooting range room shielding parameter, and then offer the structure of ray radiation source, the design of radiation source controlling system and the shooting range room shielding with some methods.The system utilizes PLC to constantly detect the information of safe interlock control system. The applied equipments in the control system are as follows: safety gate interlock control system, seople moving interlock control system, the gate interlock control of transportation ammunition system, the interlock control of power supply system, the interlock control about scintillation detectors of high tension power system, the interlock control of in-time information control system.The system using the PLC program directly drive the whole rigid platform to control open-closing of radiant source, its control precision is±0.03mm.The system utilizes single backup UPS power separately to supply the electricity for the motion controlling facilities namely: stepping motor, relay of power and electronic circuit system, it can turn off the switch automatically when the tower of the system is out of order.The designed mechanical source condition indication can show the radiant source position information, and the manually switch designer guarantee the switch off when the radiation source controlling doesn't work or occur mechanical fault.Considering the actual condition of the shooting range test, the present study discussed the industrial CT system's application and offered the specific setps of the shooting range's radio protection.
