| Objective:1.To summary and explore the means of clinical diagnosis of duplex kidney combined malformations.2.To summary the experience of operative treatment of duplex kidney combined malformations.Methods:The clinical data of 35 patients with duplication of kidney and ureter was retrospectively analyzed.Result:30 cases were examed by B-ultrasound.3 of them were not found to be duplex kidney and 2 of them was diagnosed errorly.32 cases were examed by intravenous urogram. 9 of them were showed as compression or displacement of the upper role of kidney. 3 cases were not found to be duplex kidney and 3 of them were diagnosed errorly. 15 cases were examed by CT. 2 cases were not found and 2 cases were diagnosed errorly. The rates of corrective diagnosis of B-ultrasound,IVU,CT and MRU were 83.3%,53.1%,80.0% and 81.8% respective. The rate of corrective diagnosis of both B-ultrasound+IVU and B-ultrasound+CT was 100%. 37 oeprations were performed.35 patients were operated and cured. 15 cases were examed by B-ultrasound ,plain film of kidney-ureter-bladder and intravenous uroogram before pulling out double"J"catheter.The result shows that not only degree of hydronephrosis was relieved but also urolithiasis and other affections have disappeared.Conclusion:It should pay attention to the role of clinical performance. B-ultrasound have an advantage of other imageology measures. The rate of diagnosis can be elevated with diuretic and Doppler ultrasound.Intravenous urogram can not supply sufficient basis to clinical treatment. CT is a good means of diagnosis of duplex kidney.It does not show that MRU is superior to other diagnostic measures. It is valuable for combined diagnosis to clinical reference. Individualized treatment should be managed in view of the function of kidney ,combined what deformity, anatomical position and degree of pathological changes and urinary tract infection.Treatment consist of duplex kidney itself and other complications.
