Chuanminshen.Shen et Shan belongs to Umbelliferae,Chuanmingshen violaceum Sheh et Shan.,it is the specific species and genus plant in China,it's the authentic material of Sichuan province as well.It grows in the east part of Chuanxi plain,centralizing in Cangxi.The root of Chuanminshen.Shen et Shan is used as medicine,which can be ate as food,too.Its actions include moisten Lung and resolve Phlegm,regulate Stomach,promote the production of Fluid,detoxication,etc.On clinic's application,is has been used to treat dyspnea and cough due to Lung-heat, consumption of Yin caused by febrile disease.It is an important medicine that nourishes Yin,appropriate for tonify Deficiency after disease.The research studied the quality control method and activities with the Chuanminshen polysaccharide as object.The optimal extraction process was determined by the orthogonal design,The most efficient extraction process was to extract the raw herb with 8 portions of water,twice,90 minutes each time.The ethanol-precipitating parameter was to concentrate the extract to 0.1 g.ml^-1,followed by adding ethanol to a content of 80%.The weight average molecular weight is 976319,the number-average molecular weight is 52270 determined by the HPGPC. The Chuanmingshen polysaccharide is constituted by carubinose and glucose,the molar ratio is 1:16.2 determined by the method of TLC and GC.In the pharmacology experiment the high dose group has significantly increased the tracheal excretion of phenol red,increase the ability of clearing the carbon particle and the OD value,has significant differences compared with that of the control group.Indicate that the Chuanmingshen polysaccharide has an expectorant effect,the effect of strengthen the specific and the non-specific humoral immunity as well.This research has provided an experimental basis for the study of quality control methods in Chuanmingshen polysaccharide,and revealed the activities.Providing foundation to the research of quality standardized and exploitation of authentic material Chuanminshen.Shen et Shan.
