High-intensity exercise is known to cause oxidative stress and various kinds of cell and tissue damage through the generation of reactive oxygen species. Oxidative stress is closely associated with decreased physical performance muscular fatigue, muscle damage, erythrocyte degeneration and over-training. Therefore, nutritionists suggest that antioxidant supplementation may result in decreased oxidative damage and improved immunity (especially T-lymphocyte) and erythrocyte degeneration. Normal erythrocyte degeneration is an essential condition for normal perfusion of microcirculation and normal oxygen transportation. The decrease of erythrocyte degeneration would be induced by high-intensity exercise. And the lower erythrocyte degeneration was one of the factors affecting the ability to exercise physically. Lycopene a kind of red-colored carotenoids, has previously been shown to have high antioxidant activity. It can scavenge the free radial directly, improve the immune system and modulate metanolic pathways of the body. Furthermore, recent studies indicate that dietary intakes of tomatoes and tomato products containing lycopene are all bound up with increased risk of chronic diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. However, in the sport science study effects of lycopene supplementation on exercise are still not clear. The purpose of the research is to discuss the effects of immunity and rheogeniometer which is after the high-intensity exercise by supplement of lycopene (which is equivalent to an intake of 25mg/day in humans). The details are as follows:(1)To explore the effects of lycopene supplementation on human immunity in normal quiet state.(2) To discuss the effects of human immunity and rheogeniometer which is caused by high-intensity exercise under different situation.(3)To discuss the effects of lycopene supplementation on human immunity and rheogeniometer after the high-intensity exercise. To discover the relationship between lycopene supplementation and physical exercise, this thesis investigates, through a series of scientific experiments, the effects of lycopene supplementation at a dose (which id equivalent to an intake of 10mg/day in humans) on antioxidant capacity in serum during exhaustive exercise. Twenty-eight adult males in the College of Physical Education. Shanxi University are divided into four groups: C1, C2, E1, E2. All the groups take exhaustive exercise after 14 days on the monark bike. C1 and C2 perform an exhaustive test on bike at a final speed grade approximately 90%VO2max. The other subjects conduct an 30s3min s interval anaerobic exercise on the monark bike. The experimental research is to determine antioxidant enzymes activities, such as CD3+, CD4+, CD8+. whole-blood viscosity, plasma viscosity erythrocyte degeneration and the indexes of lipid peroxidation concentration in blood samples. Taking the lycopene supplementation in advance can reduce the increase of CD8+and the decrease of CD4+ induced by high intensity exercise. It can also reduce the increase of erythrocyte gather and decrease of erythrocyte degeneration. The experiment results demonstrate that significantly increased compared with the control groups after4 14 days' supplement with lycopene before exercise. Exhuastive exercise resulted in a significant increase in CD8+ and decrease in the CD8 +content of serum. There was no significant difference in the CD4+, CD8+ content and antioxidant enzymes activity two kinds of exercise.Conclusion:(1)The human immunity significantly increases after 14 day's supplement with lycopene at a dose (which is equivalent to an intake of 25mg/day in humans), especially the increase of CD4+.(2)The high-intensity exercise, whether it is oxygen exercise or anaerobic exercise, can result in a significantly increase in CD8+ and decrease in the CD4+/CD8+ in a short time.(3)Taking the lycopene supplementation in advance results in the increase of the plasma viscosity, which decreases the extent of CD4+ after high-intensity exercise. It shows that CD4+/CD8+ are higher than comparative group. That is to say the immunity in control group is higher than the other group.(4)Taking the lycopene supplementation in advance results in the increase of the plasma viscosity, which changes rheogeniometer, making the erythroeyte degeneration of the control group become higher while the erythrocyte gather is lower compared with the other group. All of the factors is to keep the blood circulating normally.
