Objective To explore the influence of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy(HDCP) on lipid peroxidation in mothers and neonates by investigating the correlationship between plasmic values of 8-iso-prostaglandin F(2alpha)(8-iso-PGF2α) and functional changes in heart, liver and kidney and,to explore the predicting value of plasmic 8-iso-PGF(2α) on neonatal lipid peroxidation in gravidas with preeclampsia by analyzing the correlationship of 8-iso-PGF2αlevels between mothers and their newborns. Methods 45 pairs of mothers with preeclampsia and their newborns were enrolled as case group, which was divided into group A(mild preeclampsia) and group B(sever preeclampsia). 40 pairs of normal ones served as controls.Maternal peripheral blood and neonatal umbilical blood specimens were collected for 8-iso-PGF2αmeasurement by ELISA and,for detection of functional changes in heart, liver and kidney assessed by ALT,GGT,ALP,AST,LDH1,CK,CK-MB,HBDH,Scr and UA levels. All the data were analyzed by SPSS13.0 software.Results①Maternal plasmic 8-iso-PGF2α values in group A and B were 208.93±36.51 pg/ml and 401.06±138.55 pg/ml respectively and significantly higher than that in controls 190.15±29.27pg/ml(p=0.033;p=0.000).②Umbilical 8-iso-PGF2α values in group A and B were 159.81±20.49pg/ml and 167.67±24.26pg/ml respectively and significantly higher than that in controls 147.42±11.42pg/ml(p=0.016;p=0.001).③There was positive correlation of 8-iso-PGF2αvalues between mothers and neonates(r=0.462,p=0.000).④Maternal ALT,HBDH and UA levels,as well as neonatal GGT,ALP,AST,CK-MB,LDH1 and HBDH values, rise significantly in group B.Positive correlationship was found between 8-iso-PGF2αvalues and the ascending ofGGT,AST,LDH1,CK-MB and HBDH in newborns in group B.Conclusions:That plasmic value of 8-iso-PGF(2α) rise significantly in gravidas with preeclampsia and their newborns suggests oxidative stress may participate in pathophysiological process of HDCP which induces lipid peroxidational impairment both in mothers and neonates. There is positive correlation of 8-iso-PGF2α values between mothers and neonates and maternal 8-iso-PGF2α detection could be an early predictor for fetal/neonatal lipid peroxidational impairment.
