【Objective】To study the change of amplitude and function of accommodation before and after laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK), Investigate the impact of LASIK on accommodation of eye.【Methods】96 eyes of 48 patients with myopia enrolled in this study. Range of accommodation, high frequency component (HFC) of accommodation microfluctuations and reacting amplitude of accommodation were measured with NEDIK-730A before and 1 week and 1 month after LASIK. Dominant and non-dominant eye were determined by hole-in-card in the same time.【Results】All of object's uncorrented visual activity≥0.8 after 1 week and≥1.0 after 1 month of LASIK. No exchange in dominant and non-dominant eye was noted. Measurements of range of accommodation and HFC did not differed significantly after LASIK as compared with those of pre-operation in dominant eye and non-dominant eye(P>0.05). A significant decrease was observed in measurements of amplitude of accommodation response∕stimulus of accommodation ratio(A/S)after surgery(P<0.01). There has no significant difference in accommodation between dominant eye and non-dominant eye.【Conclusions】LASIK shows no significant effect on function of accommodation. Dominant and non-dominant eyes have similar function of accommodation before and after LASIK.
