Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and also a major cause for death among women. The current clinical treatment is generally divided into surgical treatment, chemical synthetic drug treatment and radiotherapy. However the cure rate of these kinds of methods is lower and the poisonous side effect is bigger. With the development of bio-electro-magnetic, the electromagnetic radiation gradually gets the application in the biomedical science. The objective of hyperthermia treatment is to raise the temperature in the tumor to 42℃-43℃for a sufficient time, thus the tumor cell can be killed.Based on the earlier result microwave hyperthermia treatment of breast cancer by inside or outside body method, this paper presents a solution which adopts FDTD method to analyze that hyperthermia treatment of breast cancer using annular phased arrays outside body. The main works include:Firstly, the method to cure breast tumor by antenna array of electromagnetic radiation is adopted in this paper. Annular arrays and breast tumor model is established and FDTD method is used to calculate electromagnetic field in breast tumor. Then the result of FORTRAN computation program is compared with the one got by the commercial software XFDTD and the correctness of this method will be validated.Secondly, by using some known literature information and illustration, some necessary datum about human body's tissues is deducted. FORTRAN programs and FDTD are applied to calculate SAR in breast with tumor under antennas array, and the results are analyzed.Thirdly, in this paper, genetic algorithm is used to optimize the frequency and amplitude of the antennas phased array and the frequency and amplitude are got in certain range. At this time, the effectiveness of hyperthermia breast by antennas phased array is the best. Finally, the summary of this paper which includes some weakness, open issues and suggestions is given.
