| Objective:To observe the effects of symptoms,signs,serum substance p in patients with allergic rhinitis by acupuncture of sphenopalatine ganglion,and to make a Initial study on the Clinical significance of the conventional acupuncture therapy Combined with puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion for allergic rhinitis.Meanwhile,according to substance p's Change after puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion,make an approach to Mechanism and Significance of puncturing Ganglion In the Meridian-control.Thus,Provide better method and programmes For acupuncture treatment of allergic rhinitis.Method:1.Based on the strict diagnostic criteria,the exclusion and inclusion criteria and evaluating criteria,40patients of allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into two treated groups,20 patients of allergic rhinitis were treated by conventional acupuncture therapy(named conventional group)and other 20 Combined with puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion(named Combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group),in addition,20 healthy persons were chosen as healthy control group.2.Conventional acupuncture therapy select Yingxiang(LI20,double),Hegu(LI4,double), Zusanli(ST36,double)as Acupuncture Point for allergic rhinitis,if patients with lung and spleen qi deficiency,do warming acupuncture at Zusanli(ST36,double),as for the patient of deficiency of lddney-yang,do warm moxibustion on Guangyuan(CV4).Combinning with puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion therapy Select Die e(new point as the best point for puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion)point as acupuncture Point,the Other treatment was the same with Conventional acupuncture therapy.therapy groups receiving treatment for 30 minutes,once every two day,two courses for 30 times.3.Measure the items on the day before and after every courses of treatment respectively and in 6 months after all course of treatment(one course for 15 days)as follows:①Syndromes Investigation:to adopt the scoring methods of symptoms and signs with the certain standard scoring table of symptoms and classifying table of signs for the patients,on the day before and after every courses of treatment respectively and after treatment for six months,②Signs Investigation:the mucoma visibility,swelling or hyperemia conditions,or gloyp and polypoid change in the inferior and middle nasal conchas,nasal septum,etc with a nasal endoscope on the day before and after every courses of treatment respectively and after treatment for six months,③Test of substance p in serum of patients by the method of enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)on the previous day before and after the two courses of treatment respectively.4.Test of substance p in serum of the 20 healthy people by the method of ELISA.Results:1.Short term curative effect:the scores of the symptoms and signs of the both groups decreased markedly after the First course of treatment than ones before treatment(P＜0.01).Also,the difference of the scores of the two groups has significant meaning(P＜0.01),Combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group had a lower scores than conventional group did.After the second course,the scores of combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group compared with it's First course's,There's no obvious difference(P＞0.05).but there is between the first course scores of conventional group and it's second(P＜0.01).but Comparison of the second course scores of the two groups,there is no distinct significance(P＞0.05).By the statistic,the markedly effective rate of combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group is 60.00%,the effective rate is 35.00%and the total effective rate is 95.00%after the First course;conventional group is 11.11%,66.67%,77.78%.the markedly effective rate of combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group is 85.00%,the effective rate is 10.00%and the total effective rate is 95.00%after the second course;conventional group is 50.00%,44.44%%,94.44%.2.medium-term curative effect:Ending the treatment,there was a slight but not significant score back rising after six months(P＞0.05),but the symptoms and signs were still greatly different between before and six month after treatment,scoring decreased greatly(P＜0.01).meanwile the difference of the total effective rate of two groups has no significant meaning six month after treatment(P＞0.05),but the markedly effective rate of combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group is higher than that of conventional group.3.Detection of neuropeptide substance p in serum:Before the treatment,the levels of substance p in serum of the two patients were significantly higher than the healthy control group(P＜0.05),After treatment,the substance p level in the two treated group was decreased significantly(P＜0.01),the difference between the levels of substance p of conventional group and the levels of substance p of the healthy control group was not obvious(P＞0.05),but the levels of substance p of the combinning sphenopalatine ganglion group is slightly lower than the levels of substance p of healthy control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion:1.method of conventional acupuncture therapy for allergic rhinitis can relieve Patients clinical symptoms and signs,but if combinning puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion,It wi 11 relieve the clinical symptoms more quickly and shorten the course of diseases.2.there is a possible association of the higher level of substance p in serum of allergic rhinitis Patients with clinical symptoms and signs,method of conventional acupuncture therapy for allergic rhinitis can decreased the level of substance p in AR Patients serum,but if combinning puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion,the level of substance p in serum of allergic rhinitis Patients will decreased to a lower level.3.In action of Meridian control in acupuncture therapy for allergic rhinitis,neuropeptide substance p Plays an important role in neural control mechanisms.4.In Clinical course of the acupuncture treatment of allergic rhinitis,combinning puncturing sphenopalatine ganglion is a more Effective and economic way. |
