The Clinical Study Of Combined TCM Vapor Bath With Factional Exercise To Spastic Cerebral Palsy

[Purpose]To assess the clinical therapeutic effect of traditional medicine vapor bath combined with functional exercise treatment to spastic cerebral palsy (CP).To broad the treatment methods and improve the position of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of this disease.[Methods]A total of 56 children with spastic CP were assigned into two groups. The treatment group involved 31 cases applied traditional medicine vapor both combined with functional exercise treatment. And the control group involved 25 cases applied SPR combined with functional exercise treatment. Two groups were treated two durations and a duration included 3 months. The observed tine was before treatment, after 1 and 2 duration's treatment. The total curative effect rate, Actitives of Daily Life (ADL), comprehensive Function Assessment for cerebral palsy, Muscular tension, the relation of effect rate to duration, to age were evaluated.[Results]The total curative effect has significant difference between the therapeutic group and contrast group after 2 duration's treatment. Compared to contrast group, the scores of comprehensive Function Assessment for cerebral palsy in therapeutic groups have significant differences. The scores of factors of comprehensive Function Assessment for cerebral palsy in therapeutic groups have significant differences. The scores of muscular tension Assessment in therapeutic groups have significant differences there are significant differences of curative effect rate and the scores of comprehensive Function Assessment for cerebral palsy according to different durations in therapeutic group. The differences are significant in the curative effect rate according to different age group.[Conclusions]The total curative effect of traditional medicine vapor bath combined with factional exercise treatment are better than that applied SPR combinedwith functional exercise treatment, The muscular tension was reduced Thetotal curative effect of therapeutic group is better than that of contrast group 1and 2 durations. That means longer duration, more effects. In the children ofbelow 3 years old and 3-7 years old, the total curative effect of therapeuticgroup is better than that of contrast group, and younger, more effects.
