Objective: Purposes: To measure the concentration of plasmic Visfatin in infertile women with and without polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS); To study the relationship of Visfatin and insulin resistance of women with PCOS; To seek the SNPs of Visfatin in all infertile women through LDR—PCR technology.Method: Thirty-seven infertile women with PCOS and thirty-four infertile women without PCOS were included in the study. Height, weight, waist circumference and hip circumference were measured. BMI and WHR were calculated. To draw 10ml fasting blood at the 3~5 days of the last menstrual period of every women. 2ml blood was used in the LDR—PCR technology. The levels of FPG and FINS were measured in the study. The concentration of plasmic Visfatin was measured with ELISA kits.Results:1.The concentration of plasmic Visfatin was found to be significantly increased in women with PCOS compared with women without PCOS, and it is only increased in obese women with PCOS compared with nonobese women with PCOS.2 FINS,FINS/FPG and HOMA-IR were higher in women with PCOS compared with women without PCOS, and in obese women with PCOS compared with nonobese women with PCOS. Pearson Analysis showed that the concentration of plasmic Visfatin related to FINS, FINS/FPG and HOMA-IR.3. C/T genetype at rs1319501 of Visfatin was found in two women with PCOS.Conclusion]:1. The concentration of plasmic Visfatin was found to be significantly increased in women with PCOS.2. The concentration of plasmic Visfatin related to insulin resistance in women with PCOS. 3. The single-nucleotide polymorphism at rs1319501 of Visfatin was found in Asian.
