Objective To investigate the best way for projecting the axial view of pedicel of S1 by the imageology observation of pedicel of S1 in different angle and to guide the sacroiliac screw to insert safely in operation. Methods We use 6 normal adult pelvic specimens and make them face lying on the control center, then we get the X-ray project the sacroiliac joint from the posteriolateral to the anteriomedial, the included angle wirh the coronal plane is 150,200,250,300,350,400 and 450.Observe the change of the imageology sign of pedicel of S1 in different angle. We put the Kirschner wire in the middle of the sign and strike it into the S1 body parallel with the X-ray when the sign is the limpidest. Then we use CT to make a verification of the Kirschner wire's position. Results When the X-ray project the sacroiliac joint in the included angle of 350 with the coronal plane ,we can find the limpid imageology signs formed by pedicel of S1, this project location is the axial view of pedicel of S1. The position of the Kirschner wire which is striked in this angle is correct confirmed by the CT scan. Conclusion We can get the limpid axial view of pedicel of S1 to applicate this project method. We can also fix the sacroiliac joint safely and firmly and avoid to injury the neurovascular structures if we strike the Kirschner wire into the sacroiliac joint in this angle.
