| Objective: To investigate the expression and significance of CDX2,Ki-67 in adenoma and colorectal adenocarcinoma , and the correlation between CDX2 and Ki-67.Methods: By immunohistochemistry, the expression of CDX2 and Ki-67 was evaluated in the colorectal adenocarcinoma of 45 patients, 40 patients with adenoma, and 10 normal colorectal mucosa as control subjects. Clinical pathologic dataResults: 1)The positive expression rate and magnitude of CDX2 were not show significant difference between the adenoma and normal colonic mucosa (P=0.24, P=0.057). The levels of CDX2 expression in adenoma had no relationship with patients' age,sex, pathological type and size ,but negatively correlated with level of dysplasia ( r_s =-0.38,P=0.02) . The levels of CDX2 expression in the adenocarcinoma lower than normal colorectal mucosa, and the levels of expression were no significant difference in different groups of patients' age,sex, and size , but negatively correlated with differentiation,lymph node metastasis,diversion and Dukes stage of cancer, 2) The positive expression rate and magnitude of ki-67 were not show significant difference between the adenoma and normal colonic mucosa (P=0.37, P=0.31) . The levels of ki-67 expression in adenoma had no relationship with patients' age,sex, pathological type and size ,but positively correlated with level of dysplasia (r_s=0.31,P=0.051) . The levels of ki-67 expression in the adenocarcinoma higher than normal colorectal mucosa(P=0.045), and the levels of expression were no significant difference in different groups of patients' age,sex, and size , but positively correlated with differentiation,lymph node metastasis,diversion and Dukes stage of cancer.3)The levels of CDX2 and Ki-67 expression had significant difference between the adenoma and adenocarcinoma, and showed negatively correlated between them in this two type tissues(r_s=-0.69, P=0.00; r_s=-0.40, P=0.00)Conclusions:1) CDX2 maybe used as a effective marker to evaluate malignancy degree and prognosis of large bowel neoplasm patient 2) levels of ki-67 expression in colorectal adencarcinoma are correlate with malignancy degree and clinical stage 3)The levels expression of CDX2 negatively correlated with Ki-67, Combined detection of 2 indices may be helpful for judge colorectal tumor biological characters ,and make effectively guide about diagnosis,therapy,prognosis of colorectal tumor. |
