Expression And Significance Of Ezrin And E-Cadherin In Lung Cancer | | Posted on:2009-01-04 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:C X Xi | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360245981114 | Subject:Internal Medicine | | Abstract/Summary: | | | Objective:The aim of this study was to explore the expression of Ezrin and E-Cad in lung cancer,and to analysis their correlations with clinical pathological parameters and the relationship between Ezrin and E-Cad,to seek their correlations to the invasion and metastasis of lung cancer.Methods:The expression of Ezrin and E-Cad were detected in 52 cases of lung cancer and 15 cases of normal lung tissues by immunohistochemistry SP methods.The data was analyzed by SPSS15.0,x~2-test and Spearman's rank correlation analysis were used to analyze the difference between groups.a=0.05 was considered as statistically significant value.Results:(1)The abnormal expression rates of Ezrin in lung cancer tissues were 69.2% (36/52)and 13.3%(2/15)in normal lung tissues.There was a significant difference between the tumor tissues and nomal lung tissues(p<0.05),The abnormal expression rates of E-Cad in lung cancer tissues were 78.8%(41/52)and 26.7%(4/15)in normal lung tissues.There was a significant difference between the tumor tissues and normal lung tissues(p<0.05).(2)The abnormal expression rate of Ezrin in lung cancer with lymph node metastasis was 88.9%(32/36).In lung cancer without lymph node metastasis,The abnormal expression rate of Ezrin was 25.0%(4/16),There was a significant difference between them(p<0.05).The abnormal expression rate of Ezrin in small cell lung cancer was 92.3%(12/13),being higher than squamous cell carcinoma 48.0%(12/25)and adenocarcinoma 81.8%(9/11),There was a significant difference between them(p<0.05).The abnormal expressions of Ezrin increased as TNM stage increased and tumor differentiation degraded,There was a significant difference (p<0.05).There was no significant difference among sex,age,tumor size(p>0.05).The abnormal expression rate of E-Cad in lung cancer with lymph node metastasis was 97.2%(35/36).In lung cancer without lymph node metastasis,The abnormal expression rate of E-Cad was 37.5%(6/16),There was a significant difference between them(p<0.05).The abnormal expressions of E-Cad degraded as TNM stage increased and tumor differentiation degraded,There was a significant difference(p<0.05).There was no significant difference among sex,age,histopathological type(p>0.05).(3)The relationship of Ezrin and E-Cad:Spearman's rank correlation analysis showed a negatively correlated with Ezrin expression and E-Cad expression(r=-0.485,P<0.01).Among 36 cases of Ezrin abnormal expression,34 cases of E-Cad staining showed abnormal expression,whereas 2 cases of E-Cad staining showed normal expression.Conclusion:The abnormal expression rates of Ezrin and E-Cad in lung cancer were much higher than normal lung tissues.Ezrin expression was negatively correlated with E-Cad expression in lung cancer.The expressions of Ezrin and E-Cad were significant correlated among tumor differentiation,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis.It suggested that Ezrin and E-Cad might acted as an important role in development and metastasis of lung cancer.
