Objective: To compare the different examination for binocular vision in intermittent extropia, analize the relation ship between them.Methods : Examing the binocular vision function in 66 patients of intermittent extropia with Titmus steriomap ,Bagolini linear lens ,Worth four lights and synoptophore . Compare and analize the results.,Results :1. Results of same method: In synoptophore examination ,the abnormal rate is 100%,66.7%,63.6%,25.8%with in-fusion range, stereops function ,out-fusion range, peception respectively,(p<0.05).In Bagolini linear lens ,and Worth four lights examination : the abnormal rate of distance fusion function >near fusion function , p<0.05.2. Results of different method: Peception function abnomale rate is 42.2%,33.3%,25.8 with Baglini linear lens test, worth four lights test, synoptophore respectively, p<0.05. Fusion function abnormal rate is 100%,71.2%,53.0%,50.0%with in- fusion range, worth four lights test ,Bagolini linear lens , out-fusionl range respectively. There is significant difference between Bagolini linear lens and out-fusion range, but no significant difference between the others .Stereopsis loss rate : distance stereopsis, 66.7%, near stereopsis ,18.2%, p<0.05.3. Results of different function degree by different way: Stereopsis function by synoptophore has the same abnormal rate as the fusion function by Baglini linear lens test and worth four lights test; Titmus test is the last way to find the destroy in binocular vision function of intermittent extropia.4.The relations between different results :There is linear corrrelation beteween fusion function with Baglini linear lens test and in-fusion range with synoptophore. No relations between other different tests. In same function degree with same test :There is linear corrrelation between in-fusion range and out-fusion range with synoptophore examination .distance fusion function and near fusion function with Baglini linear lens test and worth four lights test, distance perception function and near perception function with Baglini linear lens test and worth four lights test.Conclusion:1.Fusion range loss is the best way to find the destroy of binocular vision function in the early stage.2. Worth four lights test and Baglini linear lens test can find the destroy in binocular vision function as early as distance streopsis test, And they are cheep and easy to do. they play an important roll in evaluating the binocular vision function of intermittent extropia.3. Titmus test is the last way to find the binocular abnormal.4. There are different sensitivities between different examinations in evaluating the binocular vision function of intermittent extropia . All those results indicate different meanings from there own way . they can coordinate and supplement each other.
