Evidences from prior researches supported the hypothesis that responsibility and desire for control are most important reasons for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).Some researches also find reality monitoring disorder and low self-confidence of action in OCD. The present study was designed to explore the relationship between responsibility–control and reality monitoring ability at different levels of obsessive–compulsive symptoms in OCD. This study examined 88 un-graduate students of Northeast Normal University. This study used the measures such as the SCL-90 Section Scale, and Obsessive-Compulsive Vignette Inventory to assess responsibility, threat, control action, desire for control and reality monitoring ability.The results indicated that (1) there is significant on responsibility, threat, control action, desire for control and reality monitoring ability between OCD patients and healthy controls. Evidences from prior researches supported the hypothesis that responsibility and desire for control are most important reasons for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).The disorder patients persistent attempt to control their thoughts and actions in order to prevent feeling unsafe and anxious,they also have more higher desire for control than healty controls but lower sense of control.Some researches also find reality monitoring disorder and low self-confidence of action in OCD. The present study was designed to explore the relationship between responsibility–control and reality monitoring ability at different levels of obsessive–compulsive symptoms in OCD.This study examined 88 un-graduate students of Northeast Normal University. (2) The obsessive-comulsive symptoms of feminine patient were more serious than male and female each difference change was more obvious than the man, affect appraisaling ability compared to male.(3) The reality monitoring ability disorder was observed for patients who had OCD symptoms in this study,while more serious when higher OCD. Moreover the feminine patient were more than the male, the degree was also more serious.
