Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ)We used Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) to investigate 124 cases of psychological outpatients and 56 cases with recurrent depression patients. And a control study was made between the group of 42 cases accompanied obsessive-compulsive symptoms and the group of 14 cases without obsessive-compulsive symptoms.Results1. 124 cases of psychological outpatients were significantly higher than the general population in all factors of the SCL-90, among which depression accounted for 87% and the obsessive-compulsive symptoms accompanied depression was 86.11% of the total number. But there was no significant difference between the score of psychological outpatients and the patients with recurrent depression in SCL-90. And psychological outpatients showed higher E and lower N in EPQ, the difference between men and women was statistically significant (P <0.05).2. 75% of the 56 patients with recurrent depression had more or less obsessive-compulsive symptoms. SCL-90 results showed that the group with obsessive-compulsive symptoms scored higher, compared with the group without obsessive-compulsive symptoms, in somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, phobic anxiety, paranoia ideation and psychotism, and the other factor. There was a significant difference among them by t-test. But in the factor of hostility, the difference between the two groups was not evident.3. The group with obsessive-compulsive symptoms scored lower in EPQ-E and higher in EPQ-N, compared with the group without obsessive-compulsive symptoms, the difference was significant (P <0.01).Conclusion1. Symptoms and severity of patients in psychological outpatients, most of whom had depression accompanied by obsessive-compulsive symptoms, were significantly higher than the general population. They also had their own personality characteristics with the existence of gender differences. Male patients, compared with female patients, had a more biased character and poor emotional stability.2.
