Objective: To discuss the influential factors on the prognosis of the patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage(AICH), so as to provide theoretical basis for clinical preventing and treatment ,and finally to improve the outcome. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the data of 554 patients who were a- dmitted to our hospital in lately four years with the Computed tomography (CT)diagnosed as acute intracerebral hemorrhage. For each patient,we retrieved the following data from the medical records carefully:past history, personal history,The major symptoms and physical signs, complications, and the correlative results of clinical laboratory.Single factor analysis was performed to determine the relationship between above factors and short termprognosis.Result: Age was related to the short term prognosis of patients with AICH(P<0.05).The older the patient was,the poorer the prognosis was.Theprognosis of patients who vomited, being unconsciousness, being encopresis or urinary incontinence when onset is poorer than the ones who didn't (P<0.05). Patients whose body temperature on admission were higher than normal had poorer prognosis(P<0.05).The prognosis of Patients who were presence of larger volume of intracerebral hemorrhage or complicating pn-eumonia was poorer than patients who didn't (P<0.05).The overall mortality for infratentorial AICH was worse than that for supratentorial AICH (P<0.05).The white blood cell(WBC)count and fasting blood glucose (FBG)on admission was related to prognosis significantly. The higher WBC count or FBG was ,the worse overall mortality was (P<0.05).Conclusion: Age,Vomiting or being unconsciousness when onset,Body temperature on admission, volume of intracerebral hemorrhage,Complicating pneumonia were predictors of outcome.WBC count or FBG on admission were considered as the signals to estimate the prognosis.
