There are a lot of discussion in Modern medicine for lumbar disc herniation by definition, epidemiology, etiology, pathology, clinical types, symptoms and so on . Onset of the disease in patients with a serious impact on the work and life, seriously ill can lead to paralysis, loss of earning capacity, increasing social burdens. Acupuncture treatment is the treatment of lumbar disc herniation non-surgical therapy method in the mainstream in recent years. By the broad clinical applications, it has achieved a certain effect. Jin's three needle is the summary of the well-known expert Professor Jin Rui's years clinical experience , some of acupuncture technique on the treatment of lumbar disc herniation has the exact effect. This Subject of the comparative study of clinical observation for Jin's three needle to treat lumbar disc herniation in the efficacy is to dig out the reasons of the Jin's three needle admitted certain effect.Objective: To observe the clinical effect that treat lumbar disc herniation with Jin's 3-Needle. Provide clinical disease-oriented and efficient acupuncture treatment.Methods: This study is based on the diagnostic criteria and standards of TCM the lumbar disc herniation issued by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1994, we have selected suitable cases from The number two TCM hospital of Guangdong Province and the number one Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2007 to April 2008. The trail was randomly divided into two groups which were a treat group(30 cases) and a control group(30cases). Among them, the treat group is be treated with Jin's 3-Needle, the control group using the physiotherapy treatment, 1/day, five times/week, a month as a treatment period. After a course of study, we observe the cases under the JOA low back pain evaluation forms. And statistics for each group after the efficacy assessed. Evaluate the result through the statistics.Statistical analysis: using SPSS12. 0 statistical analysis package. Comparison of the two groups using Ridit test and the average rate of improvement evaluated under the JOA low back pain evaluation forms, the group carried out a comparative analysis of the group before and after treatment comparative analysis.Results: After a period of treatment, there is significant different on effect between the two groups (P<0.05). The treatment group curative effect surpasses the control group obviously . The overall effects of the treatment group: healed in 14 cases, 7 cases markedly effective, 5 cases efficient, 4 cases invalid, and the total efficiency of 86. 67 percent; control group cured 5 cases, 8 cases markedly effective, 9 cases efficient, 8 cases invalid, and the total Efficiency of 73. 33 percent. After the treatment, the treatment group average improvement rate is 82.41%, the control group is 44.71%, the difference is remarkable.. The treatment group patient cardinal symptoms and the symptom integral have the distinct improvement.Conclusion: This study shows that Jin's three needle treatment of LDH has significant effect, it is worth further study and clinical practice.
