Polylactide is a kind of artificial biodegradable polymer. Chitosan is an alkaline polysaccharide and gelatin is the denaturalization product of collagen. These polymers have good biocompatibility and wide applications in the field of biomedicine. In order to improve the mechanical and processing properties of chitosan-gelatin complex and the hydrophilicity of PLA with overcoming the aseptic inflammation due to the acidic degradation, PLA-g-Cs and PLA-Cs-Gel hybrid porous scaffolds were fabricated through graft copolymerization and physical blending/chemical crosslinking. Chemical structures of the scaffolds were characterized via 13C-NMR and IR, the morphology via SEM, porosity rate and properties of hydrophilicity and degradation behaviours in buffer solution were also performed. The results show that the scaffolds have appropriate porous structure and good hydrophilicity. Besides, the mechanical properties could be adjusted in a range through modulation of the component, supporting a positive prospect of wide application in the field of skin and bone tissue engineering. |
