Objective: To analysis the possible association between the genotype frequencies in interleukin-6 receptor (IL-6R), including promoter (-183(G/A)), exon (+48229(A/C)), and the deviation of acute leukemia in childhood.Method: 1.The study was conducted in 2 groups : 41 acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and 20 acute myeloid leukemia (AML), bone marrow puncture were acquired. 2. DNA examples were obtained from bone marrow. 3. The genotype frequencies in IL-6R were determined by polymerase chain reaction restriction (PCR) 4. Electrophoresis. 5. Statists.Result: 1.There shows no significant differences of age and sex between ALL and AML groups(p>0.05);2.There shows no significant differences of the promoter genotype,-183(G/A),distribution between ALL and AML groups(p>0.05);3.There shows no significant differences of the exon genotype,+48829(A/C),distribution between ALL and AML groups(p>0.05).Conclusion: 1.Our data suggest that the genotype deviation in IL-6R may not be associated with different types in acute leukemia in childhood. 2. IL-6/IL-6R play important roles in leukemia, but more researches are needed to know that how IL-6/IL-6R plays roles.
