Objective: To study the relationship between the expression of MUC1,CA125 and CA199 and clinical pathological parameters in human ovarian epithelial neoplasm ,and clinical significance. Methods: Immunohistochemistry (SP) was used to evaluate the expression of MUC1,CA125 and CA199 in the tissues of epithelial ovarian cancer from 41 cancer patients, 14 borderline ovarian tumor tissues, 20 epithelial ovarian benign tumor tissues and 30 normal ovary tissues, and the relevant clinical pathological parameters were analyzed.Results:⑴The positive expression rates of MUC1,CA125 and CA199 in ovarian epithelial carcinoma (73.17%,60.98%,51.22% ) were significantly higher than those in normal ovarian tissues (13.33%,6.67%,6.67% , P<0.0083).⑵The expression of MUC1 in ovarian carcinoma was not related with the tissue type, the FIGO clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis(P>0.05).⑶CA125 and CA199 were both significantly associated with the tissue type of ovarian carcinoma (P<0.05),while they did not correlate with the FIGO clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis (P>0.05) . The positive expression rate of CA125 in ovarian serous epithelial carcinoma (85.71% ) was higher than that in ovarian mucinous epithelial carcinoma (25%). And the positive expression rate of CA199 in ovarian mucinous epithelial carcinoma (100% )was higher than that in ovarian serous epithelial carcinoma (38.10% ).⑷The diagnostic accuracy rate of joint application of MUC1,CA125 and CA199 in ovarian epithelial carcinoma (82.93%) is significantly higher than that of application alone of CA125 or CA199 (60.98 %,51.22%, P<0.05 ).Yet there is no difference between the combination of applying the three indicators and the application of MUC1 alone (P>0.05 ).Conclusion: MUC1,CA125 and CA199 were all highly expressed in ovarian carcinoma and the combination of applying the three indicators simultaneously helps the diagnosis of ovarian carcinoma.
