Objective: approaching brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) level change and clinical significancein blood with acute cerebral infarction patients .Methods: Acording to bulk of infarction, acute cerebral infarction patients are divided intothree groups: big bulk group, middle bulk group and small bulk group. Their gene andprotein levels of BNP in serum are detected by RT-PCR and ELISA respectively, at thetime of going to hospital 1 day and 14 days after episode. Meanwhile, detecting theirhemodynamics by TCD and collecting the crowd in danger of stroke as the contrast group.Result:1. Gel electrophoresis(RT-PCR) and ELISA results display the expression of BNP: 1.1experimental groups have significant difference compared with control group(P<0.05)at the same time;1. 2 big bulk group are significantly higher than middle bulk group(P<0.05), middle bulk group are significantly higher than small bulk group(P<0.05);1.3 the expression of BNP in 1d is significantly higher than in 14d (P<0.05) in everyexperimental groups.2.TCD results display resistent index(RI) and velocity flow(V_M):2.1 Experimental groups have significant difference compared with control group(P< 0.05)at the same time;2.2 RI and VF have significant difference among experimental groups at the same time; (P<0.05);2.3 RI and V_M have significant difference in 1d than in 14d (PO.05) in every experimental groups.3. the levels of BNP have positive correlation with RI (r=0. 869, P< 0. 05 ) ,While negativecorrelation with V_M (r=-0. 347, P< 0. 05 ).Conclusions:1.The levels of BNP were significantly higher in patients with acute cerebral infarction2. It was closely related to the severity of cerebral infarction and reflected the development of cerebral infarction, By detecting BNP,we can judge the degree of acute brain injury after ischemia, and take measures to save "semi-dark band" brain constitution in order to improve prognois. 3. There was a positive correlation between the increasing degree of BNP and RI(r=0. 869, P<0. 05 ) ,While negative correlation with V_M (r=-0. 347, P<0. 05 ).
