Objectives: This study observes the effect of omeprazole on gastrin and gastric intramucosal pH in brain surgery. We aim to detect the gastric mucosal protective effect of omeprazole in brain surgery. In addition,we can further understand the mechanism of action of omeprazole, then the clinician can correctlly use omeprazole. Methods: Forty-two ASAⅠ-Ⅱpatients,who were scheduled to have craniocerebral surgery were randomized into two groups:experiment group(A) and control group(B).Group A was treated with Omeorazole 40mg by intravenous 1 hour before surgery. The gastric intramucosal CO2 tension (PgCO2) was measured respectively before surgery, the 1st,2nd during surgery and 1st postoperion, at the same time arterial blood was taken suction for blood gas analysis. The monitor can automatically work out the values of gastric intramucosal pH(pHi) when the values of blood gas analysis is input.2ml blood taken at T0,T1,T2,T3 was centrifugated for serum .All sera be ready for the concentration of gastrin in -70℃refrigerator .The serum gastrin level will be measured by professional staff through radioimmunoassay. Results: In group A, the gastrin in blood serum increased slightly at T1, but it was significantly higher with statistical significance at T2,T3 than T0. Gastric intramucosal pH in group B lowered significantle at T1,T2,T3 than T0.Compared with group B at the same time, gastric intramucosal pH in group A was significantly higher at T1,T2,T3.Conclusions: Omeprazole was used for prophylactic treatment in brain surgery,it can stimulate sinus ventriculi G cell to release gastrin . Omeprezole effectively inhibit gastric acid secretion and lower the degree of acidity in stomach.Omeprezole can increase gastric intramucosal pH to protect gastric mucosa.
