| Objective: To observe the effect of the Therapy irrigation and Davis skin graft on residual wounds of massive burned patients, which had been long-drawm-out course. Methods: The clinical reports of 16 cases with residual burn wound in our department from Oct. 2007 to Dec. 2007 were analyzed, and divided into 2 groups: the 1st group , which undertaken a therapy irrigation and Davis skin graft on residual wounds, and the 2nd group, which only undertaken the Davis skin graft on residual wounds. Results: The survival rate of the 1st group was significantly higher than that of the 2nd group[ (73.82±7.40, 61.76±8.46) % (P<0.01) ]. The average healing time of the residual massive burn wound (10cm×10cm ) of the 1st group was remarkably shorter than that of the 2nd group [ (10. 27±3. 60, 16. 40±5. 80) d (P<0.01) ].Conclusion: The Therapy irrigation and Davis skin graft is one of the effective methods for treatment of residual burn wound. |
