Health Services Survey For Migrant Worker In Cixi City

BackgroundCixi City is the economic development of county-level city,the local resident population are 1.02 million,and the registered of migrant worker are more than 80 million.Migrant workers have played a big role for Cixi city.The community health service of Cixi City is the better one in province,but the relative household registration population,providing health protection and basic health services for the majority of migrant workers has been difficult and has become the bottlenecks of expansion medical protection and basic health services.The subject of "Migrant workers in the health services survey" is selected the residents for more than 3 months and no household registration in Cixi City,by investigating and understanding the health service needs and utilization of migrant workers in Cixi City,then explore suitable effective mode of health services and health protection mechanism for migrant workers.ObjectiveIt is an important part for how to protect the rights of migrant workers and to build a harmonious society.This study is based on the health service needs,use and relevant factors in Cixi migrant workers,then to explore and make recommendations.The aim is provided the basis for promoting the development of health services and improve the health status for migrant workers. Materials & Methods1.The Subjects SelectedThe study subjects is selected the residents for more than 3 months and no household registration in Cixi City.It has Used stratified cluster random sampling method to select random sampling,and choice about 1608 people,completed the questionnaire in 1589,efficient was 98.8%.2.The survey methodThe questionnaire is used a unified adoption and after pre-survey,then investigators who trained assessment of qualified have to asked directly and completed the investigation. Investigation mainly include:general,work,health status,health service use and demand,two weeks of injury,and so on.3.Statistical analysisThe Information use double-entry to enter the computer database,then set up quality control conditions in the admission procedures.It is used EPIDATA3.0 to establish of a database,and SPSS16.0 to statistical analysis.Results1.The general situation of migrant workers in Cixi CityThe number of survey population is 1608,the effective is 1589,which accounted for 48.1% of men,51.9%of women.The proportion of 21-30 age group is larger,about 39.4%,and the average age is 26.0 year old.The proportion of junior high school culture is about 59.9%.About 44.2%of the employment migrant workers are enterprise.And about 48.3%of their revenue is from 501-1000 yuan.It is about 46.2%that surveyed subjucts come to Cixi more than 24 months.The stability of migrant workers account for about 77.6%.2.The demand and use of Health servicesThe survey shows that when migrant workers feel disease light,about 47.5%of them,the first choice of health services is the town,street clinics,community service station.The hindrance of medical treatment that provide with migrant workers in Cixi is mainly due to inability to pay relatively high medical expenses.Migrant workers who choose health service agencies,consider the mainly factor is medicine prices.At present,the mainly medical treatment difficulties for migrant workers is economic difficulties.Mostly they wanted the best community health service is regular physical examination.In addition,only 20.9%migrant workers have medical insurance,and the majority of medical insurance type as basic medical insurance,is about 36.7%.However,migrant workers are only 56.8%of people willing to participate in medical insurance,and the the annual average insurance costs their willingness to pay for is 264.73 yuan.The migrant workers who are different gender,age,occupation,education level,and income, that their prevalence of two weeks have significant differences.After single-factor statistical analysis,the women has a higher prevalence rate of two weeks,about 63.7%.The 11-20 year-old is about 40.3%.The employment is about 52.2%.The junior high school culture level is approximately 59.6%.And the 501-1000 yuan of income is about 52.1%.The migrant workers who are different age,occupation,education level,and income,that their choose medical treatment of institutions are differences.After single-factor statistical analysis,the 21-30 age group tend to choose the town,street clinics,and community service.The occupational for employment tend to choose the same.The middle school culture also choose it.The 501-1000 yuan of income also choose it.The migrant workers who are different age,occupation,education level,and income,they have health insurance rate are significant differences.The 21-30 age group have higher rates of health insurance,about 42.5%.The wmployment have medical insurance rates are relatively high, about 53.9%.The junior high school culture level also have higher rate,about 55.5%.The 501-1000 yuan of income is about 43.7%.ConclusionsThe study shows,the first health services that the majority of migrant workers have to choose is the town,street clinics,and community service.Migrant workers who choose the health services primarily consider to the medicine prices.At present,the major difficulties migrant workers seek to medical treatment is the economic problem.In addition,only 20.9%migrant workers have medical insurance,the majority medical insurance is basic type of medical insurance,about 36.7%.However,migrant workers are only 56.8%willing to participate in medical insurance,their willingness to pay the annual average insurance costs is 264.73 yuan.The more than two weeks prevalence rate of migrant workers impaction factors are gender, age,educational level,occupation,monthly income,health status,and medical insurance.Impact of migrant workers who choose treatment unit factors is the severity of the disease,health and education.Through migrant workers health services research survey,it is good for health services department to make relative policies and to take certain measures.Also,it is provided a scientific basis for constituting correct future health services measures for migrant workers in Cixi City.
