[Objective]With the development of social economy and the gradual improvement of people's living standards,it is not suitable to take the psychotic and especially psychotic of jeopardize social stability into custody in special hospital at the present society.More and more people hope that the light psychotics with the event of their own mental health hazards can appropriately access to mental services and support in time,and prefer to visit the general hosPital.In recent years,the medical services in the general hospital play an increasing important role in such issues as the increasing incidence rate of the psychological disorder closely concerned with the development of society,and the means of seeking medic advice and the concurrent of physical disease and mental disorder.As the category of the mental health services in the preferred general hospital is increasingly widen and not justly confine to the contact group consultation now,we note that the number of patients with mental disorder for treatment in the general hospital has been increasing,and the objects serviced by the mental health of general hospital has quietly changed. In order to better understand the current function of the mental department of general hospital on prevention and treatment of the psychosis,and investigate the situations of mental health service in the general hospital,this study will use self-compiled questionnaire "the questionnaire of the financial burden on psychiatric outpatients" to conduct a questionnaire survey of psychiatric outpatients in the general hospital by the investigators.The data of psychiatric outpatients on the material of the population sociology,and the information of reiated diseases and situation ofdirect or indirect economic burden is collected and analysed,and Compared with that of psychiatric outpatients in the Same level special hospital inthe same city,for the purpose of providing a basis on thedraft of health-related economy policy and strategy of prevention and treatment of psychosis by studYing the characteristics of service objects,spectrum and the economic burden in the mental health department of general hospital.[Object and method]1.ObjectStudy group:Randomly taking April 16,2007 as investigative Starting point,1000 cases of psychiatric outpatients from the first affiliated hospital of Zhejiang university,who fit to the criteria of the diagnosis and statistical manual of mental disorders,were asked to poll,and valid questionnaires recovered 927,the efficiency of 92.70%.Control group:1000 cases of psychiatric outpatients from the seventh people's hospital of Hongzhou were taken simultaneously to a poll.2.1 Investigative tool:Using self-compiled "the questionnaire of the financial burden of psychiatric outpatients",it's content include demographic Characteristics,disease diagnosis,family income,direct or indirect economic burden and so on. 2.2 Investigation:While investigating,the pre-trained investigators should make sure for patients to understand the significance of this survey,and will use anonymous survey and recover the questionnaire on the spot,and review the questionnaire to ensure,the accuracy of information.2.3 Financial burden:Including the direct economic burden or cost,the indirect economic burden or cost and the economic burden of annual per capita.2.3 Statistical methods:Data input EXCEL database and analysis by SPSS 11.1 software.Statistical methods are chi-square tests,t-testand analysis of U-test.[Results]1.The female is as d oubl-e as the male.Among outpatients of the mental department of general hospital,the average age of outpatients (42.18±16.99years)is lower than that Of special hospital (44.32±16.48岁)(t=2.708,P<0.01).Patients in general hospital posses higher education and take professional and technical students as dominant,while patients in special hospital have relatively lower education,and take workers,unemployed and unemployment,farmer and fishermen as dominant.2.In the general hospital the first diagnosed patients is 65.4%,among which is 79.5%of the first diagnosed patients with mood disorder, while in special hospital the first diagnosed patients is 87.5%of patients with schizophrenia.3.Top 3 diseases in general hospital are mood disorder,neurosis and physical barriers concerned psychological factor,and top 3 diseases in special hospital are schizophrenia,mood disorders and neurosis. The course of diseases and visit numbers of the patients in general hospital are lower than the patients in special hospital(Z=12.651, P=0.000;t=7.083,P=0.000).4.The average income of the outpatients in general hospital is higher, and the direct cost and the ratio of the cost of the family income are also higher.There is no different between the two hospitals about indirect cost.The outpatients in general hospital can accept the expensive medicine easily which can enhance the working ability of the Patient.5.Direct economic burden,total cost and the ratio of total household income are highest in mood disorders among various types of mental disorders,and indirect economic burden is highest to other mental disorders,[Conclusion]1.More and more people had like to see a doctor in the mental health department of general hospital.General hospital have more and more function in Solving with the light mental diseases such as mood disorder,neurosis and physiological disorders related to psychological factors etcand the obstacle problems of teenager.2.The mental health services ofgeneral hospital will be one of the most important aspectS,and play an important role in channel and coverage of mental health services,3.This study only reflectsthe situationsof outpatients' mental health services,and doesnot take into account the situations of consultative patients.So this study has a certain limitation and need to be further improved.
