Clinical Study On The Relation Between Female Acne And Irregular Menstruation

Acne is a chronic pilosebaceous inflammatory disease often seen in adolescence.Generally speaking,ance would neither do harm to physiological functions of the sufferers,nor to their work capacity or viability:however,it would damage their appearance and distress them. Therefore,most sufferers,young and middle-aged female in particular, would be anxious about it and have urgent need for curative therapy. Lots of doctors have noticed that female ance sufferers often have irregualar menstruation at the same time.After reveiwing relative literature,the auther concluded that large mumbers of reports about sex hormone level of female ance patients showed that the onsets of female ance and irregular menstruation had similar mechanism of dyscrinism; furthermore,TCM theary also suggested there be a significant correlation between female acne and irregular menstruation,which had been the result of mutually effects of functional disorders of the Zang-Fu organs and dysfunctions of the Chong channle,the Ren channel,and the Kidney-Tiangui-Chongren-Uterus Axias.The auther alse realized that there were quite a number of clinical investigations on the relation between female ance and menstrual disorder,which were only carried out among female ance patients.Thus,the auther would not agree with these reports in their conclusions on the correlation between the two diseases.Besides,the auther have noticed in clinic that female acne sufferers with irregular menstruation would usually have the types of scanty menstruations and/or delayed menstrual cycle.Accordingly,the auther disigned this investigation carried among female clients in a acupunctrual cosmetological clinic,and study on the prevalence of acne in acupunctrual cosmetological clinic and its relation with menstrual disorder,so as to provide docors with information about treamt of female acne.According to the cross-sectional study priciple,the auther disigned a questionaire around course and severity of acne,and cycle,period and charateristics of menstrual bleeding.The questionaire had been carried out among 120 female clients of a acupunctrual cosmetological clinic. Results are as follow:1.78.6%of the female clients were acne sufferers;half of them had menstrual disorder at the same time and most of the acne cases would advanced during mentrual period;statistical analysis showed the occurrence of female acne significantly correlated with the accurrence irregular menstruation2.Different types of abnormal menstrual cyclemenstrual and blood volume uncorrelated with acne statistically.3.Severity of acne uncorrelated with irregular menstruation statistically.It was proved in this study that there was a significant correlation between the occurrence of female acne and irregular menstruation.Therefore, geeting a overall information about different phenomenons of gynae-physiology,such as menstruation,leucorrhea,gestation and production,would help to get a deeper understanding of the condition of her Zang-fu organs,meridians and qi and blood.Thus,this should be a necessary steps when doctors are making syndrome differentiation to acne and other appearance-damaged diseases.And to regular menstruation and keep it normal shold be a crucial method in women health care as well as in treating production acne and other appearance-damaged diseases.
