Background: Femoral neck fracture are very common in fracture section for the elders. It usually happens for elders over 60 years old. The incidence for women is higher than that for men, due to higher incidence of osteoporosis for female. In addition, women are weaker in strength for the hipbone muscle, resulting poorer stability in gaits. As a result, falling accident rate for women are higher than that for men. As the development of our nations, the rise of the people's living standards, people are living longer than before. Going together with the problem of aging of the population, femoral neck fracture rate are going upwards. The elders become more fragile than before, and it takes longer for them to lie in bed to recover. Moreover, it is easier for the Complication to appear together with the fracture, and the mortality rate become higher, which pose a thread to the living standards for the elders. Currently, method of total hip replacement of old is commonly adopted in clinical medicine. However, it takes a long time for the elders to recover from the operation due to oldness. It also takes long time for the elders to rest in bed and with a lot of Complication may appear. Nowadays, studies about how the traditional Chinese medicine can be adopted during the early periods of postoperative to reduce prospective complication, time of recovery and an inpatient procedure are totally blank. This thesis aims at analyze the early periods of postoperative after the operation of Total hip replacement of old and study the prospective syndromes for the reference of clinical diagnosis, through review and conclusion of relative studies.Method:Through the review 100 cases of total hip replacement in hospitalization department, Orthopaedics section of Guangdong Provincial Traditional Chinese Hospital, Da De Road Headquarter, during January 2005 to December 2007, this thesis adopted the research from for traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome in early periods of postoperative to study traditional Chinese medical syndromes in the early periods after orthopedic operation. The sample population cases included 24 case for male, aged between 60 to 91 years old, and 76 case for female, age between 60 to 90 years old. The cases were included into the database, and sorted, calculated and analyze with the software SPSS13. 0. Further, the study consulted expertise in relative area and summarized dialectic rules of early periods of postoperative of total hip replacement of old in Chinese medical prospective. Results:The research result showed that there were a certain rules for Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome for the early period after the total hip replacement of old. The result showed that 42 cases showed the syndromes of Qi deficiency and blood stasis, 35 showed the syndrome of accumulating blood stasis generating internal heat, and 23 showed the syndrome of Qi-stagnancy and blood stasis. After statistical analyses, it was noted that age have no influence on distribution of the syndromes. Further, there is no obvious difference in distribution of the syndromes in male cases; whereas, there is for the female cases. It shows that 42.1% of the female cases come up with the syndromes of Qi deficiency and blood stasis, 36.8% with the syndrome of accumulating blood stasis generating internal heat, and 21.1% with the syndromes of Qi-stagnancy and blood stasis. Conclusion: The main traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome for the early period after the total hip replacement of old are the syndrome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis, the syndrome of accumulating blood stasis generating internal heat and the syndrome of Qi-stagnancy and blood stasis, which can provide reference for clinical diagnosis. |
