Objective the investgation of cystic thyroid lesions diagnosis and differential diagnosis points by two-dimensional imaging. Method Ultrasonography and Pathology are used to analyse the total one-hundred-seventeen cystic thyroid lesions cases in first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2005 to January 2006. Results in the 117 patients, the number of samples of solitary nodular goiter, thyroid adenoma, thyroid carcinoma, solitary nodular goiter complicated with adenoma, solitary nodular goiter complicated with thyroid carcinoma which were demonstrated by surgery-pathology are 62,21,15,18,1, respectively. in the diagnostic of solitary nodular goiter, thyroid adenoma and thyroid carcinoma with cystic lesions ,sensitivity, specificity ,positive predictive value, negative predictive value, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, accuracy rate and kappa are 91.2%,96.5%,92.3%;94.5%,85.4%,82.4%;95%,56.3%,30.8%;91.2%,96.5%,92.3%;16.85,5.88,3.02; 0.09,0.17,0.57; 93.2%,85.5%,78.6%; 0.86,0.84,0.27 for ultrasonography. Conclusion cystic lesions can be fined in all kinds of thyroid disease, consist of solitary nodular goiter, thyroid adenoma, thyroid carcinoma, thyroid abscess, lymphocytic, thyroiditis thyroid cyst etc, each of them has their characteristics, to master their characteristics and differential diagnosis points have important significance for improve diagnostic accuracy rate.
