Objective To analyse the clinical features, diagnosis and therapy of malignant gestational trophoblastic tumor (MGTT) and to raise the recognition of MGTT. To approach the best treatment of MGTT, and summarize its clinical experience to decrease misdiagnosis and mistreatment, elevating its healing rate. Methods The clinical data of 38 cases of MGTT from 1995 to 2008 in our hospital was retrospectively studied. Results 28 cases were from invasive mole, and 10 cases were from choriocarcinoma. They were finally diagnosed and discovered metastatic lesion. 38 cases were mainly chemothera -peutics, 27 cases were simple chemotherapeutics, and its recent curative rate was 100%. 11 cases were chemotherapeutics and operation, and its recent curative rate was 100%. Conclusion Color ultrasound and blood HCG could early diagnose and treat MGTT in clinic. Chemotherapeutics was the first selection and main treatment. Relatively satisfying effects can be achieved with a comprehensive therapy including chemotherapy and surgery.
