Research On Liu Wansu's "Theory Of Fire And Hot" By Applying Prescription Metrology

Purpose:to study the thoughts track of Liu Wansu's"Theory of Fire and Hot", its characteristics in applying and its guiding role for the apoplexy and aberration. Methods:combining the traditional documents with prescription metrology, selecting some doctors before or after Liu Wansu as comparison (contrast) to expose the academic characteristic of his theory on"fire and hot". Outcomes:1) The features of Liu Wansu in prescription is: the index of applying"clearing heat"method is higher than his previous and contemporary doctors(T=3), p h/ p w1.22; three compatibility indicators are all comparatively high , especially G is higher than others(P<0.01), DZ is lower (P<0.01). 2) the frequency of Han and Re drug of Liu Wansu Qingre are very close with Zhang Zhongjing (for both poly), whereas the difference between the index of dose and compatibility is great. 3) compared with Liu, there is no difference in the frequency of Han and Re drug , three indexes of compatibility and five indexes of dose by Zhang Zihe. The fh frequency of Wu Jutong is higher than Liu(P<0.05),and same in Ti j( Ti j=3). 4) Liu's prescription in the treatment of stroke has a close correlation with the Tang Dynasty's in medicinal property, sapor, meridian belonging, etc.(P<0.01). Clearing heat f yiof Liu is higher than the Tang Dynasty physicians (P<0.05), while no difference with Qing Dynasty doctors.5) Compared with the Song Dynasty, the prescription of aberrations in Qing have a strong correlation with the Song Dynasty's in medicinal property, sapor, meridian belonging, etc.(P<0.01). Liu Wansu is higher than Tang Dynasty on the applying"Clearing heat"method frequency on aberration(p<0.05)and the same with Qing(p>0.05). Conclusion:1) Liu Wansu's"Theory of Fire and Hot"is the fruit of development of shang-han theory , has further innovation and development. He attached importance to Hanliang, more emphasis syndrome. 2) Liu Wansu's"Theory of Fire and Hot"has its far-reaching influence to aftertime, particularly has a deep impaction on WengBing school and can be regarded as the foundation and source for the development of wengbing school. 3) Liu Wansu was good at curing the aberration by Qingre method. It can be regarded as reference of today's treatment. 4) on the treatment of apoplexy, Liu Wansu made a great leap in theory based on Tang Dynasty but did not break the shackle of ancestors in practice. His"theory of keeping the adverse heart-fire downwards and complement the kidney–water"had a great guiding role on the treatment of apoplexy in Qing dynasty.
