The Study Of Doctor-patient Relationship Of Medical Insurance Appointed Hospital

In recent years, doctor-patient relationship in China is strained. The rate of medical disputes rises rapidly. This is a very serious social problem now. The strained doctor-patient relationship affects both doctors and patients badly. If the situation becomes worse, it may give an impact to the stabilization of our society which against our aim to construct harmonious society. There is no time to delay to find a way to realize the harmony between doctors and patients. Based on the study of doctor-patient related theories and the literatures in this domain, this thesis conducts a questionnaire survey, analyzes the reasons why doctor-patient relationship nowadays is so strained in China, and then makes some suggestions on how to change the current situation to realize the harmony between doctors and patients.There are five chapters in this thesis:In the first chapter, the author introduces the background of this study, including the realistic meaning and the academic meaning. Then, the author defines several doctor-patient related concepts such as information asymmetry, moral risk and so on. At the end of this chapter, the author summarizes the forgoing study on doctor-patient relationship.In the second chapter, the author analyzes some basic theories about doctor-patient relationship, the particularity of the medical service market and the relationship between the social medical insurance and doctor-patient relationship.The third chapter introduces the actuality and the traits of doctor-patient relationship in our country, emphasizes and analyzes the reasons why doctor-patient relationship nowadays is so strained in China from four aspects: the doctor, the patient, the system and the media. The author considers the system problems as the essential reason for the strained relationship. The system problems especially mean the faultiness of doctor-patient related institution and the inconsequence of the medical system.The fourth chapter is about the analysis of the result of the questionnaire survey that conducted in Changle Renmin Hospital. The content of this survey is about how doctors and patients think about the relationship between them, medical ethics, the communication between doctors and patients, the causes of the strained doctor-patient relationship and the measures to ease it, the patients'expectation and so on.The fifth part is about the thoughts to construct harmonious doctor-patient relationship. In order to realize harmony, the effort of doctors and patients, system construction should be considered. The author believes that system construction is the most effective measure which can make doctor-patient relationship better. All kinds of institutions such as the inversion of burden of proof, medical information regulation, medical responsibility insurance, ADR should be improved or established. What's more, reform medical system and improve social medical insurance is the ultimate way to realize harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
